No Kman, re-read what you wrote. You contradicted yourself. Religious freedom means the bakers would not have to bake the cake due to their religious beliefs. You zigged when you should have zagged.

Personally, I'd bake the cake with blessings then donate the proceeds to conservative Christian politicians who will fight for me and my peeps. See how the game can be played?
You really probably wouldn't. The margins are pretty tight for bakers. (Reference point: I am a baker)

Yes but this is not God's world system of things, The Almighty God does not rule this world, obviously. I don't like it but I am not above the law of the land and I am sure God said to show respect for authority? hard times to deal with? isn't there a scripture that mentions this?

There is scripture that also says we are not to deny our God in heaven as well as separation, prayer, heeding God's Word above man's....

In the end is a matter of ethics both personal and Christian. If we do business with the world then we risk having to choose between God and man, in doing so making the risk that we will run in to walls.

It's it right for a person or business to be targeted specifically because they're not in align with popular opinion? No. But it's something we risk. I left medicine over abortion and other ethics regarding faith and Word. That's life.

This isn't about the cake, this is about the principle of pushing the gay agenda or whatever hot topic there is.
If someone wanted an adult cake with whatever adult images on it, and the baker refused.....you wouldn't hear about it.

Usually people walk into a business and ask what services they provide....never been a problem, until the whole same sex marriage thing came about. This is about our country moving into a direction of control. Who can do what, when and how.

Oh man I swore I'd never come back to this place, get your heads out of the sand people, if you are in business you can not discriminate on any grounds, you can't serve white people only you can't discriminate against gay people, don't like business laws? then get out or do something else non profit you simple minded people. There is religious freedom you fools.

Wow so anyone who thinks they should have the right and freedom to choose not to participate in something their beliefs are completely against is a fool? Search YouTube for the many videos of Christians calling multiple bakeries asking for a “We don’t support gay marriage” cake and being told no time after time after time, yet none of those make the headlines for weeks. Please don’t get me wrong I think they absolutely should be able to say “I don’t agree with that and will not make that cake”, but it only seems to be a bad thing when Christians do it. There are also many videos of Muslim bakeries saying they won’t make a cake for a gay marriage, yet you don’t hear about that either. Funny how Christ is the only one that shouldn’t be tolerated. So you can’t “discriminate on any grounds” yet you can be forced to take part of something your beliefs are completely against? That is discrimination, especially when Christians are the only group held to that standard. It’s not about taking away people’s rights to be served, it’s about the Christians right to choose not to be a part of an event that is completely against their core beliefs. Making a basic cake for a random homosexual should not be something that you can decide “I’m not making it for this guy”, but being forced to make a wedding cake for a wedding that your beliefs are completely against is not the same thing at all, and it seems to be ok for EVERY group but Christians to do. That is wrong my friend and in no way foolish from my point of view.

Agreed, as well as illegally changing the definition of what God already defined as marriage.

I am not here to tell another what they should do it is up to the individual, all I am pointing out is the equaltiy law, break it and one might have to pay a price, that is all.

Which is a good point but to bury it in namecalling and rudeness kills any validity really.

In the USA, we should still have the right to refuse service to anyone.

lets take it back to white vs black days. Society was well on its way to fixing the problem of discrimination. Some places of business were being boycotted and pressured by customers and protesters to change their business practices. It was going to change. It may of taken a bit longer, but society was fixing the problem. But the Government jumped in. So here we sit.

If I want to be an idiot and discriminate in my place of business, I should have that right. I bought it. Its my personal property. But I guarantee you that I wouldn't last long, and there wouldn't need to be a law in place.

we don't live in the same USA as the 50's, or even the same as a week ago. Don't kid yourself....and
did you learn your southern history from a book...

Do you have one that isn't done clowning around?
Personally, I think Crowder hits the nail right on the head.

Case in point:

"These laws are not about protecting discrimination against people, but the right of businesses to choose their level of engagement in a specific activity."

Yep. Nailed it. No one has the right to question the motivation behind the decision made as to that level of engagement. They just have to admit they have the right to do so.

That's my point. I ain't kidding myself. We aren't going to fix this problem. they started nibbling at our personal freedoms years ago. And they never stop nibbling.

Re: Jimbone's video again:

I gotta hand it to the Muslim baker:

'Customer': "Maybe you could put 'Ben & Stephen Forever' and a pair of hands holding?"

Baker: "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No. I don't want it."

Crowder's final words are spot on, too. He played a CNN clip of a "commentator" who is obviously so sold out to political correctness that he doesn't realize he's abandoned the Bill or Rights, the Constitution, and the law of the land. He said, regarding a photographer who refused to shoot a gay wedding, "Well, maybe he shouldn't have gone into business in the first place."

Crowder: "When the guy says, 'Well maybe the guy shouldn't go into business' it's very important to know what he's saying. It's pivotal. It is absolutely key. What he is saying is, 'Unless you agree with me and my worldview 100%, I should have the ability to insure that you can't do business, that you can't make a living.' It is the legal version of the cultural Marxism that is political correctness. 'You only speak the way we allow you to speak, or you're not allowed to speak.' Does that sound like freedom to you?"

So it doesn't "count" or make it's point because YOU think its "clowning around"? I think it was perfectly clear, and there are many other video's out there showing the EXACT same thing, you can look them up and see if there are any that past the "crossnote approval test". I think these make my point just fine.

Edit: I think I took your comment wrong, sorry for the defensiveness. Yes there are, I'll try to post a better one for you. sorry for the aggresive tone.

I would follow the Commands of the Christ and respect authority and the law of the land, I would simply make sacrifices where I thought I would gain good solid ground with the teachings of the Christ and obey authority, I would not protest, I might not like it but I am a sinner imperfect.

Don't forget that it was also law of the land not too very long ago to report Jews and political dissidents to the nearest NDSP center. Render unto Ceaser is fine but we forget that render unto God is also part of things-in this rendering unto God we must put His will first and sometimes that is going against Cesar.

I woulda outlawed the treasonous scum confederate flag in 1865.

In regard to the evil gays 'wedding' cake, that's not a race issue, that's not a baking issue-----it's a very specific
religious issue: namely directly (or explicitly) condoning/promoting sin
