Bakers refuse gay couple for wedding cake - is this a Christian response?

Personally I do not think this was a christian thing to do. The Bible teaches us to love and accept all people no matter what. It is not in our place to judge or condemn them, that is God's job not ours. Even says so in Mathew. Somebody had told me that these people were standing up for their christianity, let's point out that your christianity needs to be threatened before it's called standing up for it. That gay couple didn't ask them to take down their cross, or try and sue them for being christians or tell them they couldn't say or do this, they just came in and wanted a cake. If I seen a kid at school, he had never bullied me but I knew he bullied other kids so I walk up and punch him, nobody is gonna say that I was standing up for myself because he never threatened me. The same applies here, point being that if it had been Jesus running that cake shop. He would've taken their money, baked their cake, said God bless you and let them go on their way. And that's really all that should've been said

You're not supporting gay marriage by baking the cake. You're simply making a cake because that's your job, you're a baker, you bake cakes. And let's put Mathew 7:1-5 in here. Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Divorce is also a sin, but half the people on here have probably been divorced. Only he without sin may cast the first stone. So unless you can honestly look me in the eye and tell me that you haven't ever sinned in your entire life, then the best thing we can do as christians is let it go. If gays want to get married, then let them. It's not hurting us, it's not saying that WE have to get gay marriages. Our time is better spent on our relationship with God weather than whining and crying because the government said a man can marry a man and a woman can marry a woman

But nobody has to support that law or agree with same sex marriages or support the LGBT community etc, what one can do is adapt to ever changing worldly environments, it's not easy though and sacrifices might have to be made so as not to fall foul of a man made law. But, from what many claim on here God gives out Holy Spirit to all Christians so what is lost then surely something greater is gained? what are the testimonies of Christians who have experienced this type of persecution? or does Holy Spirit not bring joy then?

"By force of law" means the law will force you to act against your own conscience to approve sexual perversion . and we are not called to give up our rights as citizens but to use our liberty to further the truth of Jesus Christ. This is our society and it would be evil to turn it over to the wicked of this world and not stand and at least be heard.

Its the agenda that bothers me. This is just one little battle in the agenda.

God has set up 4 divine institutions to protect and preserve mankind.

We are seeing a systematic dismantling of the divine institutions of marriage and family. When the proper order of the family is dismantled, freewill goes into bondage. And nationalism is wiped out.

The family unit is a picture of the divine order when operating correctly. When the family is destroyed, everything else falls with it.
