Revelation 1:4
4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Personally, i've never been into numerology, but there is definitely something special about the number 7 :)

Yep.

Even the casinos have figured that out.

The Lord said in Genesis 6:3 “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”

מֵאָה = hundred=46 and עֶשְׂרִים =twenty = 620 for a total of 666

Also man and beast were created on the
sixth day.שִׁשִּׁי = sixth= 610 יוֹם= day=56 total= 666

wow, so numbers really do mater with God huh? I am just afraid to accept this because I have seen ppl take things like this way to far and I honestly don't trust myself. I had heard 8 was the number of new beginnings I also had heard that 9 was the number of God's wrath but as for what each individual number actually means biblically I have no idea how ppl would figure that out, I mean I can say that the number 5 means one thing but what does the bible say specifically about this number?

but what has been said is extra-biblical. be wary of too many schemes. numbers can be twisted to say whatever people want to say.

However five is probably the number of covenant. there were five commandments per tablet. there are five fingers on the hand with which men sealed covenants by handshaking. there were multiples of five in the tabernacle. but it must not be overpressed..

Indeed to the Egyptians five was the number of completion.

Biblical Numerics
I am in no way disputing this. I am simply asking if you can document that it has widespread acceptance.

Not in the really ancient languages. letter for numbers is comparatively recent. not before 500 BC.
your right about that. but when you go back before aramaic u get into hieroglyphics and cuneiform which is symols and not words and letters. symbols that had multi meanings.
the irony is we seem to be going back to symbols with the information age. many words are being replaced by symbols. look at your keyboard, the inside of your car.

wow, so numbers really do mater with God huh? I am just afraid to accept this because I have seen ppl take things like this way to far and I honestly don't trust myself. I had heard 8 was the number of new beginnings I also had heard that 9 was the number of God's wrath but as for what each individual number actually means biblically I have no idea how ppl would figure that out, I mean I can say that the number 5 means one thing but what does the bible say specifically about this number?
9 is related to the fruit of the Spirit, and divine completeness from the Father. The 9th letter if the Hebrew Aleph Beyt is depicted as a pictorial of a basket relating to sanctification. See Galatians 5:22-23. There are 9 attributes mentioned.

You are correct concerning the number 8 concerning separation, in relation to being born again. That is the day of circumcision concerning a baby boy.

Number 5 is represented as the breath in relation to the Holy Spirit of God (the One part of three, all three being Elohim, 3 in One) being given to a person reaching out as "Hey" ( ה ) in the Aleph Beyt. In some places is it described as a "window." The actual number means "grace," "God's goodness," and the first 5 books of the Bible called the "Pentateuch," i.e. "Torah." See Numbers 7:17-83. A peace offering is a connection, opening up communication with God via the priesthood, (a sweet savor unto the Lord) which is now Christ Jesus, our High Priest.

I actually don't know. It has been an asset to me in Biblical study. To me, the number values don't hold as much sway to me as do the pictorial Hebrew Aleph Beyt. For instance, the number 22 represents Light, but if a person relates light to the sign of the the cross-sticks, as the 22nd letter of the Hebrew Aleph Beyt, the first thing that pops into my mind are the words of Jesus saying; "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12b Then 22+22=44, meaning "Judgment of the world."

"And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness." Psalm 9:8

I'm not real big into numerology, and at the present, I don't think the Hebrews are either, yet I believe it has some validity. I think if a person is going to use number equivalents, that the Aleph Beyt should never be excluded in order to get a more full meaning of the original language, particularity in the Old Testament.

See the following website.

lol you know this numerology thing as interesting as it is seems to not be very concrete, the fact that there are several if not many different ideas what each number represents concerns me and it also seems like one of those things that if you pay to much attention to will take your eyes off God, maybe there was a reason I was weary to get into this thing.

911 is probably the only one I can really consider to be a message from God at all well that and 666 but I only recently starting seeing that one and not very often. 911 was a horrific thing that happened in september and 911 is an emergency number and I guess the last blood moon is also in septemeber although I don't put too much credit on the blood moon thing, still there do appear to be a few pieces of a puzzle concerning 911 numbers I have been seeing

911 is a Gregorian calendar number that has nothing to do with Biblical times and seasons. The nearest date according to the Bible in comparison with 911 would be the 23rd of Elul, being 6 days before trumpets that begins the 7th month. Now one's mind could run wild with assumptions in this case. Many times, in the Bible, each day mentioned represents a year. 2015 -2001 = 14.

So the 23rd of Elul (the 6th Hebrew month) in 2001 is actually incorporating the number 23, with 6. 23 = death, and 6 = the wickedness of man; the manifestation of sin; and the evils of Satan. That would seem more feasible to me because it is more closely related to Shemitah every 7th year that begins with trumpets on the 1st day of the 7th month called Tishri/Ethanim. This year being 2015 (the Hebrew year of 5775) is the year of Shemitah that is observed every 7th year. See this site for more info about Shemitah. The 7 Year Cycle

it is biblical to recognize the symbolism of certain numbers when they occur in scripture...for example seven or twelve or forty all have symbolic connotations...

what is -not- biblical is when people use various methods of assigning number values to letters and words...or count words or verses...and try to find a secret meaning...this is nothing but divination...specifically the type of divination called literomancy...

The key here is the word "secret".
When you look at the number codes (the solid ones) all they do is point back to the basics of Scripture, like a highlighter, not like a decoding pen.
Someone brought up the "chiastic structure" of Leviticus on a different thread. The same thing applies to that type of study. The patterns display the authority of the Word, and highlight the Word itself.
It's nothing secret, but it is crazily cool and complicated and intricately outstanding. No human could possibly craft this stuff. It is a level of poetry unmatched by the works of man.

What human could possibly use all these things together to make a clear statement, without creating both nonsense and contradiction:
direct literal wording, numerical value symmetry in sentence form, acrostic, mirrored chiastic structure, meter, consistent symbolic imagery while maintaining literal meaning, multi tiered diagonal symmetry in theme, and multiple clear plotlines!
All these ignore the theory about skipping ranges of numbers to spell out things... which is proven true in the Torah to spell out YHWH consistently.

If someone planned all this... they were an unmatched genius.
If these things are random, the chances are beyond astronomical.
The fact is... It is literally out-of-this-world material, sent from God.

Scriptural numerology is the utilization of numbers for their representative worth and what they speak to in Biblical writings – for instance, the seven days of creation in Genesis 1. Numbers are Biblical methods God addresses His kin. For those delicate to "See " with prophetic vision what God is uncovering, are hearing His voice uproariously. As one of the numerous Biblical instances of numbers, seven alludes to "a day of rest" (Genesis 2:3). Numerology is the thing that Bible researchers accept is the setting of importance on numbers in the Scriptures. There is supposed to be mathematical qualities in the numbers in the Pentateuch or what is known as the Torah, the initial five books of the Bible.

what do you mean you are seeing numbers.

Or are you reading the Book of Numbers?

in my bible (KJV) every single verse is numbered. (with the arabic numeral) but in scripture itself, all the numbers are spelled out in (olde) english.

even 666 is written six hundred and threescore six

three score means sixty. You have do a bit of maths in your head.

I like the Book of Numbers 'cause of the talking donkey. "Four score and seven years ago...". No, that's Abraham Lincoln. He was good at maths.
