I do appreciate everyone's insight!!! I'm not sure how we got all the way to the details of my ex and my life, lol, but it I strongly believe in God. I did not ask how I could change him. I mentioned it but right after said only God could do that. I have my faith in God. To Jason, the bible speaks of the building and assembling into Gods house. Speaks of the positions of the church. To put a watchman over the church (pastor). I believe we need that watchman. Sure we can learn and study on our own but an anointed preacher will give us What God has for us. I stand by the fact that church is vital to our growth. Too 'atwhatcost' we can agree to disagree because I firmly believe that we should be careful what are children are taking in. My children are my life. They are second only to God. You completely missed my comparison on the school. I was just saying if u know someone is teaching ur child wrong then would u let them be taught wrong? I don't. But that's me. I believe a child should be brought up right. I believe they should be brought up with the bible and God. I don't rely on culture. I rely on what the bible says. It's scripture. Raise them right and they'll not depart from it. That's a promise from God. If I raise them with anything other then God and they depart then that's my fault but if I hold on to God and keep them straight then with Gods grace, they'll not stray.
Most the apostles were persecuted for their faith, so there really was not always time to assemble at a stable church type building like we have here in the US. Also, while Jesus taught primarily New Testament and not Old Testament, the New Testament did not officially go into effect until He died upon the cross. In Hebrews 8:13, the author of Hebrews quotes something Jesus said,
In that he saith,
"A new covenant, he
hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away."
So shortly before the cross, Jesus said that a New Covenant will make the First Covenant Old (Which is now decaying and ready to vanish away). Meaning, it was still the Old Testament during Christ's ministry until the Temple veil was torn. So while Jesus did obey certain Old Testament customs, they are no longer required of us to obey. For we do not have to offer animal sacrifices anymore. We are not forbidden in eating unclean animals. We are to turn the other cheek if we are smitten (Instead of an eye for an eye). For the Scriptures say... "the law has changed." (Hebrews 7:12). For no man puts new wine into old wine skins. Anyways, to learn more about how the New Covenant (or New Testament) replaces the Old Testament, check out the many Biblical articles on that topic at GCI (Grace Community International).

For there are over 1,050 + New Testament Commands.

Are we really supposed to obey all 613 Old Testament Laws in addition to the New Testament Commands, too?
Please take note that many New Testament Commands conflict with OT Laws.
Anyways, there is no command in Scripture telling us to assemble in a church building in order to worship God.
Acts 17:24, "God...dwelleth not in temples made with hands;"
Acts 7:48, "Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands;"
Hebrews 10:25 gives us a command that we are to exhort one another. This command can also be seen in Hebrews 3:13, too. If we are to regard Hebrews 10;25 as attending church just on Sunday, then how do we fulfill the command to exhort one another daily if we meet up only once a week?
Hebrews 10:25 is about having fellowship with believers (Which can be in any place and not specifically a church building).
