GodisSalvation believes that he has all the truth.
He has all his own truth, it's what Christendom does as a whole, each individual makes their own truth by their interpretation from one book, of course groups of Christians might agree with each other and other Christian groups disagree with each other. I have actually heard people speak ..make the truth your own and then hear them speak make your own truth. It's all kind of ?

Im not being silly as you put it. That is how I read the reply. There are some people who do take everything in the Bible that way.

I don't believe you have any idea how Christendom works. There are several main beliefs that all who call themselves followers of Christ must believe to be saved. The rest are up-for-grabs. Some beliefs are important, others are less important. But these other truthful things don't concern salvation. Granted, there's too much antagonism amongst some denominations, and that's not cool, but it's also proof that no-one is perfect, except Jesus. Still, if we're humble and willing, we can learn different things about God's beyond multi-faceted nature from interacting with people from other denominations.

Of course you would say that, it's simply a reply of a person's defensive mechanisms kicking in. Even a kid can know the basic Bible story, sure there is some deeper stuff to try and work out, but the trouble with Christendom is that it tells a different story from the same book, often it is an assumptive interpretation of scripture, but what is the truth?

So going by that logic and reason there is no problem teaching whatever one wants to teach from the Bible?

Of course I can. It was only man who was made free from the bondage of corruption because he had the tree of life. What would have happened if he had not partaken of the tree of life? .
so can you give a bible verse that says Adam ate from the tree of life ?

nowhere does it say Adam ate of its fruit

22And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil:
and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take [also] of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Life is found in Jesus alone :) He is the vine, and we are the branches. Jesus said,

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you,
you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

I agree: Adam and Eve did not eat of the Tree of Life.

I love it !!!!!!! LOL LOL literally = figurative. that is a contradiction in terms. But at least you ADMIT that you can't take it all literally.

We all think it speaks of literal events if the figures are interpreted correctly. But that is not interpreting it literally. It is you recognising that you are not a literalist after all.

this is what we call the blind leading the blind.

In daniels prophesy, we saw the first beast, or the head of gold was the king of babylon,

so we see a literal interpretation of the passage. the 4 kingdoms.

But you want to call the figurative.. that alone shows us we should not listen to you concerning eschatology, you have disqualified yourself as a trustful source of interpreting prophesy.

'He sent and showed it by signs to His servant John' (Rev 1.1). semeion = a sign. so semaino means literally to indicate by signs
so the whole bible is a book of signs. because of what was said by john?

wow dude

And just because those were signs, means they will not literally come true (what the signs represent)

thats ok. I will take the examples of the oT prophesy already literally fulfilled as president on how we are to interpret signs.

don't worry son. One day you will see more clearly :)

I can see you are a fanatic blinded by self-opinion.
spoken like a true, self opinionated, proud, pharisee of pharisees (even if your not a pharisee, you speak like one in your lack of humility and attack oriented way of trying to discuss the word)

You live in the Old LOL i'll live in the New. :)

There is in fact very little OT prophecy 'literally fulfilled' if you read the whole context

was the king of Babylon literally a head of gold? I don't think so LOL so immediately you start with what is figurative. in other words 'signs' LOL just like Revelation

I wonder why you chose the easy bit? LOL is the rest too complicated? :)

thats what God gave Daniel, to tell the first gential world kingdom ruler,
again you refuse to believe what the bible says, and interpret your own way.

and lol about slandering a fellow brother in Christ, and rebuke clear bible language given.

38And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven
hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all.

[Thou art this head of gold.]

what I find dishearting is the fact that,

UK, America, and Jerusalem had a brotherhood for many many years,

now this brotherhood is broken, and nothing can fix that till Christ comes.

we can go back to most posts by you, to americans

on this thread alone shows something is changing in the world fast.

yes but he wasn't a head of gold. he was a human being. so you can't be literal there. the head of gold represented him. thats the whole point. and that is true of much else in Scripture.

Revelation is written on the same basis

For we know that [the whole creation] groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now

[If ]they would have listened to God and ate from the tree of life,
He would have taught them the giving and loving way, given the Holy spirit ,
also Gods word, leading to eternal life, and replacing satan from rulier of this earth.

But they did not, and choise for themselves what is right, not believe what God said,
the what is in it for me, the rebeles get way, and not trust Gods way of love.

Do you go on every thread at this site and spread poison?? Just asking... would have thought someone your ago would have learned a few things in their life...

By and by I don't buy the age thing... your writing style and use of language is a little too off for someone raised and educated in the 30's and 40's, the age were language was big, bold and exuberant...The little tells are I'm instead of I am... that was not taught til the 60's?...see I dated myself by using til instead of till... forgive me if I'm wrong... but just saying...totally odd...

I agree that the Bible is generally easy to understand. The most basic stuff can be understood by a child. Of course there are some things that only older people can understand, but for the most part too many Christians over-complicate the way they read the Bible. The truth is simply this: Jesus is both God and the Son of God. He came to earth as God/man and died to save humanity from sin and death. It was a sacrifice one and for all time. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no-one can come to Father God, except through Jesus.

Yes, Christians are Christ followers.

I didn't say people can teach whatever one wants to teach from the Bible. The non-negotiables are all salvation beliefs. The other beliefs are important, but not salvation-based.
