Thanks for your testimony here Jimbone for some do not realize we were not all raised a Christian all of our lives, or that we may have been in a Christian home but still left the faith at an early age to not return tell we were older.

Some of us have walked our own path for awhile until we finally hit rock bottom.
We were handed over to satan for the destruction of the flesh so that we would learn not to carry on that way any more. Yet you will continue to have some who will tell you you would still get salvation even though we lived a life of disobedience for awhile.

It was not tell we were brought back into the fold by repenting of those ways and coming to the truth that we were back under grace. It amazes me how some want to say that the disobedient will still get eternal life, when the bible completely refutes that.

This is one of the basic efforts of our church (and all Vineyards)...... to NOT be an intimidating place where just ANYONE from the streets can comfortably come, and feel welcomed and accepted.

I thought that he was saying the opposite, that all were welcome in the church that He attends, where everyone can relax and feel like they are home.

Do you get EVERYTHING that is said, BACKWARD?

I'm saying we welcome people most churches won't........ Athiests, homosexuals, transvestites, trans gender. Our job is not to select or reject, but to let everyone know that Jesus is looking for THEM.... just as He did 2,000 years ago.

I apologize for leaving a comma out. I would ask that you simply use a bit of common sense when reading posts, and most things will become clear to you.

But, I can also nail your hide to the barn if you want to start playing games like that. (I personally don't want to do that, so I try to reason my way through many of your posts to get what you really mean...... and I ask you to do that too.)

Well I am sorry for not reading it properly which is why I asked a question, I did not come flat out and accuse you of it.

The way it was written was how I took it as you said not anybody from the streets can comfortably come.
We are to welcome everybody with open arms and let them come in and hear the word of God, from there on depends on how they are handled. For if they continue down their sinful path and not repent of those ways we are to talk to them about this out of love and God's word, and after one on one, bringing in more, and then brought before the whole congregation fails then they are to be shunned from the congregation.

I asked a question and you come back with a snotty remark, you do realize there is a difference in asking a person their stance and coming straight out and accusing them of something ???

Well I read the part of where he said not just anybody from the streets can come comfortably.
There was not a separation between the intimidating part and the anybody can come comfortably, so I took it as all one statement.

I came back and asked a question if that is what he really meant, and instead of just saying no and explaining he came back with attacks and snotty remarks. Why can't people just answer a simple question without getting offensive ???

There are churches out there that do turn people away, and I have never given you flack for being too accepting.

What I have countered you with by using the bible is when you have made statements like you can live however you want, or that you can continue to hate others all you want and still be saved. I countered those statements with the bible on how it shows you have to walk by the fruits of the Spirit and not by the flesh, and those who have hatred do not have eternal life abiding in them.

If you accept all others no matter what they have done then "GREAT" for that is how we are to be, but that does not mean we are to continue to accept them if they refuse to turn from those sinful ways they are in.

No! If it takes 7x 70 sessions of helping them to understand, as long as they are still seeking and asking, we are to be trying to help them..... NOT saying, "Three strikes, and you're out, because you heard my Holy words, and still aren't really sure."

You are speaking on repentance there on the 7 x 70, as that is the context in that passage of if they come back and say they have repented for what they have done we are to accept them and keep helping them.

But if they don't repent of their ways and just continue to do those sinful ways that 7 x 70 does not apply in this case, as it shows they have no true born again heart leading them away from their sinful ways. They love their sins more then they love the way of God that has been set before us.

Well, when you have kicked them aside for not SNAPPING into shape at the sound of your voice, (I think "snapped" is the term one of you Legalists used), our doors will still be open to them. And if they don't hear my words, another of us will try to explain things in a clearer (for them) way. And if that isn't working, yet another of us will try with a different approach. (Think: Paul in Athens)

What does Jesus and Apostle Paul say about after you, others, and the whole congregation has come to them about their sinful ways and they still refuse to give them up?

They both say you are to cast them out and not even eat with them;

Matthew 18:17
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

These are the Lords and Paul's command if those processes of pointing out their sinful ways to them for correction fails, and do not come from me so I will continue to follow what they say.

Go back and read those verses...... then come back and tell us about whom they were speaking.

No, as long as The Holy Spirit keeps bringing a person to our door, (literally, or metaphorically) looking for, they might not even know WHAT, we will keep on loving them and trying to tell about Jesus in a way that they grasp.

I have read those verses multiple times and it is speaking on and to those who continue to live sinful lifestyles without repenting of them.

Only those that repent of there ways are welcomed back into the fold, even the parable of the Lost Sheep says the same thing.
That the Lord will go after the lost, and He has commissioned us to do this, but only if they repent are they welcomed back into the fold.

Repentance is the key in those passages.........

We were never even discussing "back in the fold". I told you we have our doors open to anyone who feels a need to walk through them.
