It is not the fact that gays in our country want equal rights... The Declaration of Independence, the values this country was founded on clearly states in the opening preamble. "...We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights... These words are backed by the Constitution... I do believe in them, I also believe that gays that cohabitate with a "life partner" so to speak, should be protected under the law in an equal manner to a married couple... What I do not agree with is the use of the word "marriage" for this type of a union... It is clearly defined and has been since the beginning as a union between a man and a woman... They could call it anything thing else like "Civil Union" or "Joint Union" with the same rights under the law as a marriage, same tax breaks, equal distribution of property, medical rights, etc. JUST DONT CALL IT MARRIAGE!

two shall become one flesh" it is impossible for two men or two woman to product one flesh, one life form, "A Child". A child is the end result of two shall become one flesh a mixing of DNA...

Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination". (sexually immoral)
Why should two sexual deviants deserve the rights of a married couple? Why would we as a society want to approve deviant behavior and make special rules to facilitate it?

As citizens they already have every right other citizens have..they can marry anyone of the opposite sex they like. What they want is for society to give them special rights and for society to change our social order to approve their sexual desires.

This veiled call to arms indicates that the war on conservatives is truly going hot. He has labeled religious people as backward and a hindrance to all others. The left isn’t capable of ‘help’. A Texas judge is so opposed to same-sex weddings that he wants every couple he marries -- straight or gay -- to sign a document acknowledging his views.

The agreement required by Judge James R. DePiazza, of The Colony, which is just north of Dallas, states that he doesn't want to perform same-sex weddings but will do so if asked.

"Judge DePiazza prefers to NOT conduct same-sex ceremonies, but will not decline anyone who chooses to schedule with him," the document states (the caps are in the original).

The document requires that those who wish to be married by DePiazza agree to not only acknowledge his views, but also not mention same-sex weddings to him "before, during or after the ceremony."

If anyone does, the service will be stopped and the participants will be given a refund, DePiazza told WFAA, the local ABC station.

DePiazza also will not allow photographs or videos, not that there will be much to capture. His services will be bare-bones affairs strictly limited to "a brief formal declaration of civil marriage ceremony."....

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the state of Utah to list the names of a lesbian couple on a birth certificate as the mothers of their new baby in a ruling that lawyers said was the first of its kind since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized gay marriage.

U.S. District Judge Dee Benson said the assisted reproduction case wasn't hard to decide.

"The state has failed to demonstrate any legitimate reason, actually any reason at all, for not treating a female spouse in a same-sex marriage the same as a male spouse in an opposite-sex marriage," Benson said in his ruling from the bench.

Angie and Kami Roe of West Jordan said in their lawsuit on the issue that the state should treat wedded lesbian couples the same as heterosexual couples who use sperm donors to have children.

State law automatically recognizes a husband who agrees to assisted reproduction as a father, but the Utah attorney general's office contended that doesn't extend to same-sex couples because child bearing is legally different from marriage.

"It is a fact that a non-biologically related female spouse can never be the biological father of a child," state attorneys wrote in court documents. "It is a biological impossibility for a woman who does not give birth to a child to establish paternity of a child through the act of birth."

I guess the angry person who chooses to engage in homosexual acts and doesn't like God's position on the matter never heard of the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States or if he has he doesn't care about it. Hopefully our Judiciary still remembers we have one and care about it.

Read this today In USA Today... It does show a glimmer of hope... the stats quoted in this show Americans are getting fed up with the loss of morals in this country... One thing I read recently stated that most people forget the majority of the population of this country is over 55 years in age... We still said prayers in school, Pledged Allegiance to the Flag and went to church on Sundays... Kicking and screaming sometimes, and prayer and pledge where not an option for us... we did it or got our butts beat... Maybe, pray to God, that generation is finally going to stand together and say enough!...

DENVER — Same-sex marriage is now the law of the land. But that doesn't mean the newlyweds always get their choice of wedding cakes. Or flowers. Or photographs. Or venues.

Just ask Jack Phillips, a "cake artist" who may represent the next legal hurdle for gay and lesbian couples on their way to wedded bliss.

Phillips, 59, owns Masterpiece Cakeshop, a Lakewood, Colo., bakery that won't design desserts for same-sex weddings. His case was heard this month July 7 by the Colorado Court of Appeals. If he loses, he plans to keep appealing — all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary.

"I feel that the Bible is clear — what God defines marriage as," Phillips says as his daughter Lisa works on the latest confections. "For me to violate that would be for me to rebel against God, to take what he's designed and say it doesn't matter."

A recent poll conducted by the Newseum Institute found that only 38% of Americans say businesses providing wedding services should be required to serve same-sex couples despite their religious objections, down from 52% in 2013. The court often tends to follow public opinion. But the Supreme Court has sided with religious believers before, most recently by allowing an exception to the Affordable Care Act's requirement that most businesses offer health insurance coverage for contraceptives that some equate with abortion.

This article is a must read!

Now, usually I like to thumb through the New York Times... For a conservative it is somewhat liberal but I like several of the writers and you can get a pretty good view of what's trending... But this article I found somewhat troubling about several religious organizations view on same sex marriage... So called "Christians" jumping on the band wagon to align themselves and doctrine away from traditional teachings... reinterpreting verse to correlate with the new law... Do not get the wrong impression about the headline, the "gets little attention" only refers to media attention... A similar piece also appeared in the Washington Post on Friday...
