Yes and that believing is a continuous act, not a one time confession of faith.
We have to continue to believe in Him to receive the promise of eternal life, and Jesus in Luke 6:46-49 tells us exactly what believing in Him means. He says there only those that do what He said have the foundation of their faith built on Him, but those who do not do their foundation is not founded upon Him. Apostle James takes this further and says a hearer only is deceived !!!

That passage in Luke from the Lord clearly shows believing is a continuous action and anything that says or teaches it is not can only be chalked up as a lie, for it clearly goes against what the Lord Himself said believing means doing as well.
Refer to post 3 point 2 and this thread is not about salvation and or your stance on salvation.....stick to topic and quit doing what you have in the past accused others of doing....DE-RAILING!

More things that will happen in the end......

1. God will turn the world upside down
2. The earth will teeter and totter and reel to and fro as a drunken man
3. The smoking pit will be opened and the locust army from hell will be cut loose upon humanity to torment men

Any you want to add?

I agree that most people just want to hear peace and love in the midst of justifying sin...while throwing out judgment and wrath...I can see many people who try to dismiss judgement and wrath in the end would later say...Why didn't you tell me if you knew?...If they'd rather hear it from God himself than us...then fine...But in my opinion if we're only telling one side of the story to please humans, we're not telling the whole message...If people want God they must be willing to accept Him fully...While we are called to preach the Good news of the Gospel...we must also accept there are different members of the body...When God's 2 witnesses come it won't be to preach peace and love.

Amen to that...it will be to shut up heaven and call fire down from heaven to kill those who would do them harm!

I just thought of this scripture, not sure if it has anything to do with this thread but it shows Gods judgment can/is terrifying.Heb 10:30 — Heb 10:31For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

I don't know that too many people like the everlasting gospel of Revelation:

Revelation chapter 14 verses 6 and 7

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
This is really very simple when one understands that we as believers delivered from the condemnation and wrath of God uphold God righteous standards and wrath against evil...Its good news because its a message of how God delivers us OUT of His Coming judgment .....To ignore the judgment element of the gospel is to miss altogether why the term goodnews is used.

The unrepentant sinner don't hear the gospel...they don't need a Savior from their sin (in their mind) they don't need to escape the judgment of God...they don't believe in Gods judgment nor His right to judge.....This is why Paul says we "uphold the law" for its purpose....to make all guilty and understand the fear of the Lord.

Amen to that and it is highly applicable brother......the whole reason for this thread was the fact that I am sick of the gospel being pancaked into this nothing but LOVE.....the correct message (gospel) is more than just the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and includes the negative aspects of his coming as well...including death, judgment, fear and all of the other nuances found n the word of God concerning his coming...good morning bro....!

I think its learning the balancing act, there is certainly two extremes to this. And learning really what love is the key. I think love at times is telling a person what they need to hear rather than what they want to hear. As I'm slowly learning this, putting into practice is the hard part for me, one of my weaknesses is getting things wrong haha. Telling someone what they need to hear out of a RIGHT spirit makes all the difference.

Seems to me the norm in most the churches is that people want to be entertained.
I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand all the hoopla. Give me a prayer, Scripture reading and an edifying sermon that's in harmony with God's written Word. Communion is a bonus.

I am like that as well...could care less about all of the entertainment, specials, singing etc....preach the word, light me up and for sure the preaching had better be longer than the song service..........I want my toes stepped on and the preaching of the word is all that matters.......like I say...if you want to be entertained...Go buy a movie ticket!

The Bible says that the world will rebel against Christianity, and where once Christianity was viewed as people who promoted good and changed lives for the better, and wanting peace on earth, will be viewed as trouble makers and disturbing the process of the world trying to change the world for good of humanity and peace on earth.

The Christians that once people believed wanted peace for the world, and the good for humanity, will be viewed as disturbing the peace and not wanting peace for the world, and that is because the world will be coming together saying they can achieve peace on earth, and create harmony.

The trouble is that since they want to bring the world together in harmony, they are promoting everybody on an equal level, every religion valid, and sexual lifestyle tolerated, every lifestyle no better or worse than anybody else,to cut down on the differences people have that causes dissension between people.

Since they know people have differences and they can lead to fighting, and it is hard to get everybody to agree on the same thing, and they want to obtain peace on earth, they tolerate everybody as being valid in what the believe, and try to promote that what people believe should not interfere with peace, for all are valid, all religions can lead to spiritual enlightenment, all are valid,in an attempt that while people disagree they can still get along despite their differences, for all lifestyles and beliefs are valid, for that does not matter in the grand scheme of things of they want to achieve. The differences should not matter for all are valid and no belief is any better than any other belief,so why fight and make a big fuss over them.Let's get along and not fight over what we believe, for what does that matter in the grand scheme of things. For it pales in comparison of what really is reality and what we should accomplish and believe, but it is all a lie.

They are only tolerating everybody as equal and all beliefs valid,so they will stop fighting and come together, and think those differences do not matter, and anybody that goes against that when the time comes, that says I will believe what I believe and not tolerate what the world is doing, will be trouble makers, disturbing the peace, and not caring about peace on earth.

Where the Christians who once were viewed as people that care about peace on earth, goodness for all mankind, and caring about the welfare of people, will be viewed as troublemakers, disturbers of the peace, not caring about the welfare of the world, and that is because the world is tolerating everybody in an attempt to bring them together, for they know they cannot bring them together because of their differences,so everybody is valid and accepted, and stop fighting because nobody's beliefs and lifestyle is any better than anybody's lifestyle.

As long as the world is fighting over religion, fighting over their differences,Christianity will be accepted, but when the world stops fighting over their differences and come together,Christianity has no more impact on the world, for everybody is valid, but while someone might say that it is a good thing for them to stop fighting over their differences,it is bad,for then Christianity is no longer the only valid religion, but all religions are valid, and Christianity is no better than any other religion, and Jesus is no longer the savior, but a good teacher in spiritual enlightenment, and the God of Israel is not the only way to go.Pick whatever you want to believe,it is all valid and correct.

This attitude will impact Christianity as people who listen to the world, but follow the Bible, will look at Christianity as the same as all religions, and also people are becoming more fleshy as time goes on for that is the direction they are going ever since Adam and Eve sinned,so it will get worse.

Children are growing up in a world that is more selfish and arrogant than it has ever been,so if they do accept the Bible a lot of them do not adhere to it according to the truth, but would rather hear a watered down version because they do not like the seriousness of not being able to indulge in things of the flesh. This attitude will go on until people do not want to listen to the Bible except according to their lusts,in which they are even more fleshy and want to adhere to a Bible interpretation that exalts people and diminishes God from having as much say so in their life.

The Bible warns us that in the latter times some will depart from the truth of the Bible, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. This is an interpretation that exalts people and diminishes God,that does not adhere to holiness standards, which Jesus is not the savior, but a good teacher in spiritual enlightenment, which Alice Bailey who was a professing Christian started dabbling in the occult, who wrote books which she said she got from a Tibetan master, and put out an occult interpretation of the Bible, which she is the biggest prophet of the New Age Religion, which you can read her books online(http://www.lucistrust.org:8081/obooks/).

She started Lucis Trust which was called Lucifer Publishing Company for a short time(Lucis - The Esoteric Meaning of Lucifer).

This interpretation will become more and more popular, which the Bible says that the time will come when people will not tolerate the truth of the Bible, but will want to hear it according to their own lusts, which goes beyond them wanting to dabble in pleasures of the flesh, like money, and drinking, and the such, but they will want to hear that false interpretation of the Bible that exalts people.

The lust of people to exalt themselves will grow until people will want to hear the Bible according to that occult interpretation, which started off wanting a watered down version in the past, because they want to be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,which is simple at first but the fleshy pleasures grow, until they will want to hear it according to that occult interpretation, which at that point all religions will provide esoteric knowledge,so the Bible is no better than any other religion.

Since people are enjoying fleshy pleasures like never before, and Jesus said at the end times since iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold, which means people will be more fleshy oriented, and at the last days they will be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,and the world gets worse in wanting it's way as time goes on,people will want to hear the Bible that is watered down that does not tell them holiness standards, because they like living like the world but believe the Bible.

The lust will continue until they will eventually step it up a notch and adhere to that occult interpretation of the Bible, where God has even less input in their life, and because they believe like that, they will listen to the world that all religions are valid and will not view the Bible as any better than any other religion, but they will like some things in as a form of spiritual enlightenment, things that exalt them.

People today want to hear a watered down version of the Bible because people get more and more selfish and wanting to exalt themselves as time goes on,which Jesus said at the last days iniquity shall abound, and evil men will wax worse and worse, and they will be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,will not allow the Spirit to lead them because they want their flesh to be in control. That kind of attitude will eventually cause them to want to hear the Bible according to that occult interpretation, and they will regard all religions as valid because will that attitude they will be going along with the world that all religions are valid.

The reason that they still acknowledge the Bible even though it supports a personal God and holiness standards, which they do not like,is 1.They look at it as having spiritual enlightenment and esoteric knowledge, like Alice Bailey looked at it,but they will look at all religions as having esoteric knowledge.2.It is rewritten. When they get to that point they will view all religions as valid, and having spiritual enlightenment,so when the time comes that they will not listen to the truth of the Bible, but according to their own lusts, they probably look at all religions like that, for God does not have so much an impact in their life.

ok...back on track......More things that will take place......

1. The heavens being on fire will be dissolved
2. The heavens will be ripped open to reveal the face of the son of God
3. The stars will fall from heaven and the sun will go dark and not give her light

The rich men, captains, rich, poor, bond and free will all attempt to hide in the dens, caves of the earth and pray for the rocks to FALL ON THEM and hide them from the face of the one on the throne...

doesn't sound like a good day for them.........

WOE to you that desire the day of the LORD! Everybody you know who is lost and still alive will face this...they need to know this is coming...it is not going to be a Sunday afternoon picnic or a day at the beach.....WAKE UP!

I am not derailing anything as the teachings of Jesus in Luke 6:46-49 and of James 1:22-27 are part of the whole council of God, as those teachings are just as much valid as the rest and they state that those who hear and do have a true faith but those who hear only but do not do are deceived.

You are the one who started this thread about instructing on the whole council of God, which means you can not discount these passages in those instructions to others.
