Girl, boy, man, woman, makes no matter. Online, we are all exposed to things that offend our sensibilities in one way or another, things we would not come in such close contact with, nor so frequently, were it not for modern technology, and we must inure ourselves to them, and practice the principles our LORD and Saviour placed before us. And yes, women are told the same thing, to grow a thick skin, but thick skin is the problem in the first place. Rather I think we need to know the pain of too much tenderness, to be wounded by your own understanding of love, and to bleed willingly and joyfully. Kahlil Gibran wrote that last part, in his teaching on Love from the Prophet.
Oh, not you too, magenta...my friend? ... Say it ain't so. What guys except thugs and ogres are telling women to grow a thick skin? ! (and i know...i've done it...as a thug and ogre) But as CHRISTIANS??!! On a Christian CHAT site?! If that's so, then perhaps you're making my point, and the promises of 'love', as in, 'if you've been beat up by the world' or 'if you're hurt, lonely, etc.', we here will love you w/out judgement, or the old, 'we'll love you til you learn to love yourself', is maybe just empty words or at best reserved for a select group of elite.......aaahhh, what's the use. Listen, I luv ya magenta, my friend, I really do, and I like you. In fact, I love everybody here, though unfortunately there's some I have a hard time trying to like, and I KNOW there's many who neither like NOR love me. That's on them. But my disappointment isn't from my own expectations, ... frankly I didn't know WHAT to expect. I just arrived as a believer in Jesus seeking fellowship, companionship, prayer, growth, and my expectations came from what I was TOLD here as a newbie. I've also come across others expressing similar complaints about posts being attributed to those that never posted them, and the confusion around that, so I KNOW that happened in my case, whether believed or not, and my conscience is clear. Now I don't have my hopes up, but I'm always open for apologies, as I believe in Christian forgiveness/reconcilliation, and meanwhile, ther's ppl here I'd really like to know better and some contributions I know I can make thru prayer and scripture, esp. catholic, osas, etc. but not if I'm treated with indifference or disdain. I'll walk the extra mile with anyone, by God's grace, especially my sisters and brothers. Jesus loves you. He loves me too. That Really oughta mean something, as He's the Creator, Lord, and Saviour of us all. (and I'll be happy to discuss that, too, in good faith):) (p.s. where's my pics!)

If Christians told me anything like that, it was with good intentions I am sure, for I spent a good deal of the last eight years speaking with atheists who hated on me with a passion. The first four were on a secular site, with very little Christian moderation, so the atheists got away with a lot, and I mean a LOT, but I found it exhilarating to be so challenged LOL. But no, mostly I meant just in general, people say you need a thick skin... but I am about growing my heart in God, so a thick skin is not what I am after :) Spiritual discernment is more what is needed :)

I had a dream that I got to share the Gospel with some people, and I almost cried while sharing it. But I had to give them the Gospel Lite because I didn't want to take too long, cause this was right after I had to drive out a demon from a girl and from the room. And it was funny because after I told the demon to get out, I said "and take yo friends witchu!"

Anyways, good afternoon everyone!

Thank You Frank and may God bless you as you have been a blessing to me. I actually got into my old chest and got the baby blanket she gave me and just held it close to my heart. I strive everyday to be just like her. She was a giving woman who gave everything of herself to help others and when it came to herself she went without. I know I will never be like her, but I do desire to have her faith during the storms of life. She was one tough cookie indeed.
cmarieh, I'm so sorry - I only just saw...I still remember losing my grandmother and that was 25yrs ago! Grandma's are so special, in many ways closer to us than out mom's because they have more time and patience with us as we grow up. Grandma's are soooo wise too.

God bless and remember The Lord is with you in these trying times....He will wipe away every tear. :)

the part underlined and bold reminds me of some weeks ago after my prayer time. i said out loud, "devil, you lose!" but then added, "or whatever demon lurking around, tell your boss he loses!"

i chuckled afterwards cuz i made sure all the bases were covered. lol

some days ago, i dreamed a group of people were walking up and down a street, praying out loud. we weren't praying for specific people. but just praying up and down the street. i thought it was cool :)

Good day, MM! Do you journal your dreams?
Not always. Significant ones yes, but even then, not always in the greatest detail. I usually remember them very well. The only recent one I wrote down in impeccable detail was the first one I met Jesus in. I had to have that one documented in HD (as far as writing goes).

Writing more of them down will help you remember more of the details of the significant ones...

Dreaming of Jesus sounds awesome! Such a blessing :)

Are you sure this is the total list? lol After all, us CHRISTIANS are known for laying down, listing, making the rules and such. The original 10 commandments, by the time JESUS was walking on earth, had been expanded to over 650 laws. I gotta ask..what do you do with this list? Is it something that you look at daily to see how you rate? Are you expecting others to copy this and stick it in their BIBLE? I am not sure what you wanted others to do with it. Most grocery lists are cast aside once used...

It is far from being a comprehensive list, one could simply say, love your neighbour as yourself, but then we (certainly I) also need reminders of what it is to love, and how, which is why we have Jesus, Who laid down His life for us, and we/I re-read certain things again and again, because we/I need the constant reminders of what it is we are called to do, and how to do it. I fail at it often. And you?

I thought the Mitzvah were only 613 in total?

I not only fail at it, I feel completely incapable of attaining that state of selfless sacrificial love we are called to and need to turn to Jesus just to face the fact that without Him I am nothing.

You're right about that. I should start filling in the details.

And yes, dreaming of Jesus is the best thing ever! I hug Him and I don't even care if anything else happens.

I kept journals for years, and sometimes gained valuable insight by reading what I had written after the fact. Plus, my memory for dreams did improve. For instance, I used to not be able to tell when one dream ended and the next started, but after keeping a journal for a while, it became much easier to distinguish such things, and to remember far more than just the high points of any one cycle. Many years ago my daughter came across my journals, and she wanted to read some of them, so we went through a few, and we "laughed our heads off." She claimed she never dreamed, which is not correct: everyone dreams, but most people forget their dreams upon awakening. After we spoke about it, she started remembering her dreams, and then we had even more to laugh about together :)
