What do we say, "no offense" when we are about to offend someone?
Its a way of saying don't get mad but I am getting ready to say something to you that I want to say and I am not going to consider your feelings because I'm not thinking of your feelings as much as I am thinking about my desires.
It's not usually done with sincerity and in love.

Before you wonder, "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"

"before i do a thing, i ask myself, 'would an idiot do that?'
and if the answer is yes, i do not do that thing."

"Today I'm going to deadhead the flowers in my garden, then fix the Lucky Bamboo, and then, and then and then..." My garden is a container garden in 16 feet by 16 feet of cement yard. (@ 5 meters by 5 meters, for the American-measuring challenged. lol) How hard can this be?

An hour later? One of two black-eyed-Susans is deadheaded. (Rose is deadheaded too, but hubby did that.)

Do I ever have a chance of learning how to measure chores with time?

Why do I loathe landscaping work so much. To clarify it overwhelms me to the point of literal tears. My house has a larger shrub/flower area in front and a smaller one in back. It was professionally done before I bought and I thought looked nice because it was structured and the edging was crisp (I don't know the lingo so trying to describe it). I do not have that talent so knew I needed to keep up with it because I couldn't create that myself. I was gone for a month over the summer and weeds took over to the point the edging was gone. This weekend I bought that tarp thing to keep weeds from coming out and rubber mulch because I like the "one and done" aspect of it because I don't want to mulch every year. I spent hours digging out weeds, fighting off various biting insects, watching this red rash develop on my arms, and being attacked by swarms of ants as I have some ant hill infestation apparently (they were crawling on my neck!) and am not even halfway done. By the end of the day I was so upset and on the verge of tears that I became more upset because it was so irrational. I tried to think positively and enjoy Gods nature but I just can't.

I love small gardening, herb pots, potted flowers and that upkeep. I think it is just the nose in the dirt stuff I don't like. Digging out the rose bush someone planted because it looks awful and sorry but I hate roses! I love daiseys so tried to dig a hole for my daisey bush and it went terrible.

I promise I'm not lazy and enjoy mowing my yard, I enjoy cleaning my home, and have helped re-roof a previous home. I respect and enjoy hard work ..is not the labor that is the issue.

I realize this was more of a Random Rant than a thought but Im still slightly upset at my reaction.

And, side note, when people say "No offense," it typically means, "I actually am trying to offend you, but I'm going to say this in order to soften the blow and also so I won't be perceived as mean."

It's like when we say "Just kidding," after a mean joke, but in reality, we sometimes share truth in our kidding. (Not always, but many times, we tend to say it in order to cover our true feelings).

< Company name > has contracts which says customers are always to troubleshoot
tech agents are paid to NOT send engineers
tech agents are NOT allowed to tell the customers their contracts say they have to troubleshoot
tech agents can not deny the customer anything
if they send "too many" engineers all the bosses send out emails telling them to troubleshoot more and asking if they don't have the required skills....

yay for large companies

When I was little, I think my mother lied to me, saying that bread fresh out of the oven was bad for me. She had a point though; eating the whole loaf while it's still warm is bad for me. Plus, that's a lot of butter and jam for one sitting....

I know that there is a law in many states that forbid texting and driving and there are even commercials showing the consequences of texting and driving but I still see people on their phones while driving.:(
