Aw I'm so sorry to hear you're in pain and struggling. I believe God allows heartbreak to happen (among other hurts) because they teach us a lot about ourselves we wouldn't have known otherwise.

Yeah i believe also too..thank you for the kind words

Women need to be fierce warriors and valiant decision makers like in the days of Esther and Deborah.
Women need a purpose higher than themselves to live for and die for if necessary.

Amy Carmichael, Mary Slessor, Corrie Ten Boom, Mother Teresa, Harriet Tubman, Fanny Crosby to name a few

I could not agree with you more, women like us should have a better purpose than looking for a mate to fill the void, i always tell that to my self but somehow forget it time to time but i will make it as mantra now, thank you very much, for reminding me that, i have a better purpose here than getting hurt.

Yeah ofcourse it applies also to men... some men deservesn it too.
So.. Every woman deserve it, but only some men? I think Jesus says do to others as you would have done to you. And when He said that, He implied it for everyone.

Im going to speak here as someone who is married...I hope that is ok. Setapartgirl if you are dating men that dont naturally treat you with respect, you are dating the wrong guy. If you arent free to make choices, you are in a abusive relationship, get out. You are always free to say and do whatever you please but it wont work long in a relationship. If you want to be in a happy relationship you need to learn to bite you tongue at times, even when you think you're right. You certainly deserve fidelity as does he. Your partner should be your priority after God,yes that is true for both partners. As far as pursuing that would be a personal choice.I want a man that pursues me,and he did,but like a gentleman.

As to being treated like a queen that depends on your meaning. To me that means a man who opens doors for you, pulls out your chair for you, listens when you speak, and enjoys the little things in life with you. If you mean a man that showers you with gifts and candies and compliments, well that man is going to be hard to find. The same with being spoiled. That type of relationship doesnt last long and isn't realistic.

You may want to whine but you'll get a lot more from a man if you are direct with what you need. No man wants a baby in a relationship. Tears are for little girls.A mature woman knows how to approach a man and logically tell him what she needs. Both partners should love each other unconditionally but there are days you wont feel like it,but you do anyway. Both partners should give the same amount of effort 110% both ways. Otherwise one will feel cheated.

To your last few points...If your partner doesnt let you know you are beautiful you are with the wrong man.Personally if I wear something my partner doesn't like Id like to know,in a nice way.Usually your partner knows what suits you best, they see you all the time. It doesnt bother me if my partner says "that just doesnt look right on you". Every woman does deserve a Godly man but they arent easy to find if you are looking in the wrong places. And you have to be mature enough yourself to see and appreciate such a man. Choose carefully who you have a relationship with. The more bad relationships you have the harder it is to appreciate a good Godly man. Just my ten cents...
Well said, Kaylagrl!

Hahaha it is not a list we want you to do, i just enumerated the things all deserving people should deserve , and the first place it should be given freely and no need to list, i just have to enumerate it. Hahaha
The highlighted bold.. What determines a deserving person?

I think your using the word "deserve" in a different way. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. I think your using it in a poetic way... not in a true to the word's definition kind of way.

The true definition of deserve means that one has earned it. If we used that definition... then every woman would have to have earned all those things you listed. Not only is it probably not true that women earned those things (and as a result don't deserve any of that)... but it also diminishes the value of the things you listed... earning those listed things diminishes the kindness of them. And I think that's what you were going for... a romantic kindness that all women "should" be treated with.

Also, I think the tone seems very entitled.

So, I think what your really trying to say is, "Every woman should be treated nicely."

Ultimately, I believe we all deserve hell. And all that we get is either by the grace and kindness of someone's heart or we have earned it through work or actions/thoughts that earned something.

Can't help but think what a prideful post the OP is. I deserve... I deserve... I deserve...
i deserve a man who lets me run my mouth, accept all my bad behaviors and attitude, no matter how unGodly I act, while expecting better from him. To be treated like a queen. A rather worldly list, for the most part.
Because my God says we are all deserving of hell and nothing more. But in His grace He excuses us from what we deserve. Somehow because of this we now have this belief that we deserve all sorts of good things. Even demanding that we deserve to be treated as royalty and letting our wrong behavior go unchecked, in the name of loving someone. That's not love.

I love my gf. I treat her the best I am able. Not like a queen. I do respect her, as is reasonable to do and yes, should be a staple in Any romantic relationship. She has a voice as I often listen to what she has to say. She has freedoms. I don't hide how I feel about certain things I disagree with. Love isn't about keeping your mouth shut. Respect is t about keeping your mouth shut. It's about knowing how and when to say things. And if you do happen to mess that up its about apologizing and fixing things between the two of you.
Also love is not about a list of things you think you deserve. That's not what respect is either. I respect my gf not because she automatically deserves it for being a woman, but because she has earned my respect by how she conducts herself. Not because she deserves it for existing.
Much of that list reflected an 'it's all about me and how priveleged I am' mentality that does not reflect a mindset I'd expect from a Godly woman. All I do for my gf is because she has shown herself to be the kind of person that has earned it by her attitude and actions. Not because she thinks it's her right. A real Godly woman presents herself with humility and waits for a man to see her more like God does, than anyone else. Not one that thinks she's so special she deserves to be treated like a queen because she graces the earth with her mere existence.

We deserve hell. Men. And women. God spared us from that and anything more is an extra blessing, not a right.

Everyone is loved by God, but most will end by being destroyed.

Love is a two way street, just make sure the love you give is shared back else you have no relationship just one way traffic.

If you can learn this lesson, you will get the partner you deserve, because you have been wise.

Okay guys that's enough. She gets the picture. I'm all for a few soft corrections to her line of thinking but let's do it in a spirit of gentleness. Let's grieve with her and encourage her. Ugly, you're out of line bro.

With all due respect sir, i don't want to contradict you, if you only read all of the comments, i said, everywoman and men too deserves it, i did not said WOMEN ONLY, so please stop the hurtful bashing because i don't need it now, that's why i said it there, OTHERS MAY NOT AGREE i did not expect you to agree, some of my words are maybr used in a wrong way, but i posted here, for me to express my feelings, AND everywoman deserves respect, Not because you they earned it from you. Because everyone of us DESERVES it, even prostitutes deserves it, not because they are respectable but because they are also God's children and just lost. And thank you for commenting here, and what i mean QUEEN is not treating the woman with gifts and all, don't take it literally!!!! What does people should treat their queen?!?! RESPECT AND LOVE!?!RIGHT?!?! SO kindly ask first what i mean, before commenting that much!!!! And thank you for reading my post! Good day!!i hope people will read this before commenting again!!? Women and men have different on how we use our words!! So yeah i can't blame you!! But thank you!! If i could delete this post i will!! I just want to feel okay! That's why i posted this!

I didn't read all the other posts.
And which part was out of line? Calling out the secular thinking with spiritual truth founded in the bible? Or the way I expressed that I treat my gf well because she has shown herself to be a good woman?
Sorry, nothing was out of line. I simply don't go along with trendy pseudo-spiritual concepts put in place to pacify people and feed their egos. Nearly every post I see on this subject is about what women deserve, but you rarely see that women also have an expectation to act in a Godly manner as well. All part of the feminist ideal.
I desevre because I am a woman, not because I've shown myself to be be a Godly woman.

I'm reminded of all those prosperity preachers who tickle the ears of their viewers and listeners with all kinds of "you deserve this" and "you deserve that" phrases. This goes way beyond gender-specific things.

Without Christ, we would all deserve eternal condemnation and separation from God.

I never have understood what the cucumber slices are for. Are we making a salad? Because putting them on the eyes never seems to help.
