Thanks for sharing your stories!! I went through the same ordeal in 2011. I found out that I had cancer cells two weeks before Christmas.. At first, I was shocked. But I knew a God who could do anything but fail. I didn't let the word "cancer" consume me. I knew a woman who was ill and up in age. I asked her children if it would be alright if I went and sat with her while they were at work (I was unemployed at the time). Well, everyday I was there with her. I didn't think about my condition because I was focused on her. I never knew what her illness was but I knew she didn't have long. Two days before she passed, her daughter told me that she had cancer. That blew my mind!!! I had surgery in 2012. I didnt have to have chemo or radiation..When I went back for post appointment, my specialist was amazed.. He told me that he had cut a large circle from my cervix. Inside the circle was a smaller circle of the cells. He said that he had never seen that before. I told him that I knew a healer that was gonna use him to heal me. I told him about the woman and how God took the focus off of me and allowed me to be there for her.. He is AWESOME!!!

I am a day late and dollar short as usual God bless you Blue. Great testimony. I just lost an ex brother in law to colon cancer and he was not much older than me, Getting tested monday. If he would have been tested sooner, he would be alive today. So I agree with you. Everyone needs to go out and get tested. better to find it early once it hits stage 4 nothing they can do.

Thank you, e-g. :) The problem is, the majority of people who have something wrong with them are scared to go to the doctor and find out what the issue is. So they procrastinate until it's too late to do anything. I'm sorry to hear about your ex BIL..

I am one of those people. A brand new granchild got me to change my mind.. I want to be part of his life, and when his great uncle died not long after he was born, it hit me hard.

What a wonderful testimony!
It is scary to face the possibility that life may end, yet in fact it must end for us all. It's only a matter of time.
The good news is that what lies beyond is better then what lies ahead. But it is hard to see beyond our every day existence. It's part of being human.

I've been thinking a lot about how my time is limited. I guess we all get to that point eventually. As my health declines more and more as I age things I used to never think about or pass over quickly with little thought now are prominent in my thinking.
Like what would I do if I got the "news". What will life be like when I can no longer care for myself, ext.

Last year my sister lost her battle with cancer. She was so strong, so healthy. She never smoked and she lead a healthy active life yet she succumbed to cancer. Why ? And what are my chances? I have not lived a healthy life. I started smoking shortly after a married. We lived on store bought food, not good home grown home cooked meals. I was exposed to a lot of harmful chemicals on the job and I made no special effort to keep in shape.

Now my eyes are failing me, my lungs are in trouble, I have gall stones and other issues and I'm only five years younger then my sister was when she passed.

On the surface I know that nothing can end my life before God's set time. I refuse to accept health issues, yet they persist.
So what is the answer ? Is it really in God's hands or does our life choices play a big role ?

I don't know. What I do know is that no one lives forever. My kid brother was 15 years old when he died of exposure. One of my sisters drown in the river. My first son succumbed at age 12 to multiple birth defects.

Every day is a blessing, every birthday a bonus. God is good and greatly to be praised. He lives, so I live.
What more does one need ? Time passes, friends come and go, only God remains constant.
So whatever time I have left I will enjoy, and I am free to concentrate on helping others on their journey. I don't need fame or fortune to make me feel good. I am glad for what I have and what I can do and that's enough for me.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! Bless you for stepping out in this forum for all to benefit from your testimony. I am so glad for you that you have insight for the reason you went through this experience and that you are free from those awful periods!! I can't imagine what it was like for you but I can empathize a little and I thank God for His grace in your life :)

beautiful story I hope this story does give hope to others. I am having some issues of my own not sure of the outcome yet MRI is Wednesday. I feel the same as you. why me? haven't I already suffered enough in life. I had a hysterectomy because I had fibroid tumors. This was a wonderful story and yes it is hard to stay positive especially when you see the signs that are pointing to what you dread. I know there is hope and this story proved it. I thought it was just me who thought it was hard to stay positive but I am ease knowing I am not the only one. god is good I am waiting for my great outcome.. god bless you.

Monique, keeping a positive mindset on this is imperative. :) Believe me, I know how scared you are. Keep believing that the MRI results will be okay. :) Even if they do show something, you are not alone in this. God is with you and he will pull you through. Please please pm me if you ever want/need to talk, vent, cry or whatever. And remember that cancer does NOT mean an automatic death sentence. Myself and others here are living proof of that. :)

It's good that she only needs 4 more treatments. Just keep the faith that everything will be okay. :) And remember that cancer does NOT always mean that person will die. I'm living proof. :) Praying for you both.

I couldn't finish reading your story because of my crying, I wasn't crying so much because of the story, but when I am not taking my meds as I should, any touching story make me cry - It's medical, psychological, not emotional per se. When I have my meds in me as I should I will read it.

I am so ticked at the FDA for allowing so many cancer patients to die needlessly. So many alternative treatments that nip cancer in the bud. The latest one is oxygen therapy and is not allowed to be used by regular doctors. Some MDs will use alternatives, but have to go through a bunch of court battles so many don't bother. Go to www.cancertutor.com for a partial, but fairly complete list of alternatives. Doctors, including oncologists that will use alternative treatments can be found at American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM). Alternatives will "cure" 90% of all cancers and 100% of most, but whatever cures a disease must be considered a drug, according to FDA and then it would need to be tested to be approved for that use. Testing costs millions of dollars and alternatives are not expensive enough to fund those trials. Doctors are not allowed to tell anyone that an alternative cures anything. I'm not sure how we get away with lemon juice and honey, but then doctors don't prescribe it either.
