I get what you're saying...I'm just not sure we can generalize about it based on gender. I've never "cornered" a man and demanded emotional attention. The scenario of feeling "cornered" and having to face "demands" seems more like an introvert deal. And I say that as an introvert. I don't do well if people are loud or emotionally intense and have immediate demands. We need to use inside voices and give plenty of think time before a response is expected.

This is also probably why I can't imagine being that kind of person. I don't approach people in that way, because I don't want to be approached that way. I think it's an introvert thing.

Innocent of all charges. Walmart utensils are just junk. I have a swingaway can opener that has been with me for 18 years. All the metal is rusty but it still works perfectly.

Put it in a container and cover it with white vinegar, then leave it alone for a couple of days. After, brush it with an old toothbrush and the rust will come right off. Dry it, then spray a little WD-40 on it. This process worked on a plane iron, so it should work fine on a can opener.

Why would I do all that? The can opener still works perfectly well. It doesn't get rust on the can because the cutting edge is kept in use.

I was just illustrating how long it has been with me, and it is still working fine. That's Swing-A-Way, costs a bit more than twice as much as a Wal-Mart cheapie but it lasts more than 54 times as long (so far, and still going strong.)
