The Master has given us faith, and faith leads to grace. If we bury our talent, out faith, it is not leading to grace, it is dead.

and No. Actually Jesus did, When he called his gift "ETERNAL life"

It is his reputation on the line, not mine. my reputation is not worth a dime, thats why I need Jesus.

We have two schools of thought as far as I am concerned.

The first group believe we are saved by grace and only grace and usually this group's main focus is the NT

The second group believe that by grace we are saved by faith and try to keep to what the Bible tells us to do (OT & NT).

The reason why I asked you where we can find the verse that describe salvation by keeping the law is because that is the debate. Salvation by grace or "keeping the law" and every person who tells you that there are still relevance in keeping the law will tell you there is no salvation in keeping the law just obedience to the Word of God.

If we all can agree that there is no salvation by keeping the law it will lead to a major breakthrough as we now have a starting point where we can work from. Maybe our differences is not that material if we start looking at the similarities...

Jesus KEPT the law in our stead, for our salvation, that was the only true keeping of the Law.
Ours, although imperfect is only a slight reflection of His Law keeping...we call it fruit, just as love is a fruit of the Spirit.

The gift of faith is treasure to our Father, and of course to all who receive it.

Faith is likened to gold throughout he Word.

Our God teaches us that He refines us, but not as gold or silver, rather in the furnace of affliction. He goes on to say He does this for His own sake that we not be cut off. His reason is not our reason,.

In the parable about the servants being given talents of gold to administer while the Master was gone away, the gold is the gift of faith.

When we receive the gift of faith, it is our talent of gold. One may work to increase his talent of gold in sharing with others this faith increasing his talent by one, two, three, or many more. When the Master returns He is pleased with the servants who increased the number of talents, that is the faithful.

But the servant who buried his talent, and did nothing was considered worthless by the Master and was cast out into th e outer darkness.

So servants who do something with the faith given them will be rewarded, but those who do nothing will be cast into the outer darkness,.

Are you doing anything at all with your faith? The mere fact that ou are working in these forums tells me you are, but if you rest on receiving the gift of faith and doing nothing, well, you know the consequences of this non-action,. Even worse to encourage other to do nothing is producing more worthless servants. If you are a servant of the Mos High Go in Jesus Chrsit yo will do and not just talk a lot.

There seems to be a hang up here. It is like someone inside a car with the window screen is all mucked up. They are given a cloth and told clean the screen. But they say, I do not have to, I am in the car, why do I need to know where I am going?
The whole reason you are in the car is so you can get there, but you have to see or you will crash.

The heart is like a clogged window, with hurts, defences, learnt behaviour stopping things from sorting out because before this just meant death, but with Jesus it means life. Now each believer has to put into action what they are told to do. This is part of being yoked to Jesus, doing what he does. If you cannot do this then in the end you are not yoked to him or commited to learn and grow in the Kingdom.

Now you ask does this mean people loose their salvation if they resist and do not move? Good grief. If you bring a starving man to a table full of food and he says it is poisoned, I will not eat, he is just nuts. Equally why do people not trust Jesus and just obey. He came to the cross, walked with man to show it really does work, it is not made up, I am the King. So if the King asks you to jump up, ask how high, not show me before I will trust you. I am saying this because I know how hard this all is and how unbelievable stupid we are.

Nothing in what Jesus asks us to do is bad for us, it is eternal and part of His kingdom. Everyday in everything we do, we need to listen and learn, to share and be instructed.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. I have true works. Works inspired by the spirit, not buy the dead law and self.

Thats the problem with your theology, Your trying to drive the car to get yourself to heaven, and not allowing God to drive it for you.

Your car can not make it without Gods help. does not matter how clean the windows are, it will never get you where you want to go.

If your faith is buried it cannot lead you to grace, nor will you be a productive servant. Now, if you feel convicted because of these truths from the Word, that is you.

Also, now you are saying you have works? Are you not doing the same as I? Your works should include obeying Jesus Christ, right? Why then tell me I am trying to earn my salvation, when I have confessed that I am saved by the Blood of the Lamb of God, my Lord, and yours I hope, Jesus Christ.

Make up your mind. Does faith produce good works? Is obeying Jesus Christ not good works? Please tell me one way or another. I have shared and bared all with everyone here, so why not you?

thats an oxymoron, God gave you faith when you had faith in him, but this faith was dead..

In other words, it is dead, it will never save you.

You are so close, yuo almost get it, But you can not take yourself out of the equation, You have to keep that little bit of self worth in there.

Last I read Grace leads to faith how can we have faith apart from Grace in our situation?
