This short video is about Ananias and Sapphira and that they were infiltrators in the church seeking to cause hurt., and how God dealt with those who seek to hurt the church. For many years I was taught they were believers and this is how God will deal with believers in church today.
The reason I do not believe these two were believers is because Jesus already took the judgment of Christians under the new covenant of Grace. Why and how could God seek to judge the believer yet again when Jesus already paid for our sins? And yet many say that God will keep on pouring out the judgment on the church. They say that because they have not heard about, or understand the new covenant relationship the church has with God NOW because of Jesus.
I so enjoy the way Pastor Joseph Prince put the question out there that has been asked and then answers it clearly with Scripture. Also getting into how Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads the sheep., protects the sheep. Doesn't DRIVE the sheep.,but the sheep follow Him., He leads and the sheep follow. The rod in truth is used to beat off the wolves and protect the sheep not to be used ON the sheep. Again, many say that the rod is used for hitting on the sheep., even using it to mean a rod for beating in correction. NO. But yet that is how I was taught to see the Good Shepherd and how it is still being taught by people today. These are issues that need to be addressed by believers and answered IN LIGHT of Scripture.
God is not out to 'get us' or 'catch us'.and then punish us. Punishment has been paid
I use JP message here because I was hoping to draw out some discussion about how God is dealing with His church under a new covenant and no longer is dealing with believers through the law of Moses.
