Kaylagrl,
I know you were just trying to share a different, and more balanced view,
but that article was, in actuality, just as lacking in data as the articles that vilify Columbus.
I'm not blaming you.
You didn't write the article.
But this pretty much sums up the WHOLE POINT I'VE BEEN MAKING.
People have all of these VIEWS about him, and throw around ASSERTIONS, and even some NUMBERS...
but I just don't see much evidence backing any of it up.
It's kind of bizarre.
Both his supporters, and his detractors, just toss out "facts" with no sources to back them up.
It's really bizarre.
I've never been that interested in Columbus,
but the odd way he's presented, by both sides,
really makes me wonder what's going on, lol.
Do you mean immorality? That would make more sense in the context of this thread.....Yep it is our Christian duty to rebuke immortality.
man just enjoy the day off.
Any patriotic Holiday wrangles the nerves of the libs. They have a hard time with a place called America.
man just enjoy the day off.

What? ..worseAhh yes another post that reverts to politics... Hey Crossnote, guess what? I don't eat red meat. Does that make me an "unpatriotic liberal"?
He kinda did...Columbus did not discover America... Documented fact
Columbus murdered and enslaved....documented fact..
Oh thats right...he was your great...great..great ..great grandpa...right?A lot of us would not have been here wasn't it for Columbus...![]()
He does kinda have a point, though.. What if there was a day off for someone like Hitler? Should people just say "Enjoy the holiday" when the holiday refers to him? Or better yet, Halloween? Since we do know where the origins come from for Halloween.
Its utter nonsense to compare Hitler to Columbus. smh Unbelievable.

I wasn't comparing the two. Just making a point that we should do research on what a certain holiday actually represents.
Im not going to lie I cant wait for halloween its one of my top 5 holidays every year.
