I am wondering what (you want to find) and why (you want to find it) ?
When I was first converted I went to every church in town trying to find the voice (that's the only way I can describe it) that spoke to my heart. I heard snippets here and there, a word here and a word there that touched me but I didn't hear the clear voice of the Spirit that spoke into my soul. I also heard what people said about this or that religion, one quote was "better a hope with no pope than a pope with no hope" which I took offense to immediately. I found a lot of "We are right and they are wrong and will never get to heaven" but slowly I found a congregation that I could feel comfortable with.
I was bought up in a very strict religious household but was not converted until I was 42 and I found a freedom that I never thought possible. The upshot to this information is; When we stand before Jesus and are called to account, He will not start with "What religion are you?". He will ask if we heard him and if we followed what we heard. His word has not changed and it never will "though heaven and earth pass away, My word will never pass away."
I have come to an understanding, that, no matter what we call ourselves, what we wear, or where we go, that God looks at the motives within us. He knows whether we have obeyed His voice.
I will break bread with anyone who professes to know and have a relationship Jesus Christ because that is the crux for me. knowing Him who created all. Paul said "I count all worthless compared to the relationship I have with Him". A relationship is a two way thing, The Israelite's had the chance in the wilderness to also have this but backed out because they were afraid and insisted Moses do everything for them. But the relationship we all have with the risen Christ is the same that Adam had in the beginning. It does not matter what you do or what I do or anyone else does, what matters in the relationship we have with Him. This is the gospel, the good news, Jesus said to the scribes when they tried to trick him with questions that they were "close to the kingdom of God, so they dare not ask Him any more questions". The Kingdom of God is to live within us through Jesus Christ. If you must look for something look for this.
People are fickle and not easy to change their ways, whether in the church or not. Look and ask by all means but look for the fruits of the Spirit, peace and love, and not to just those around them but to everyone.
I ask Jesus to open your eyes and heart to His voice.
In Jesus name.
