I just heard on a christian site that there could be a porn site leak in the future. It said if you visit porn in 2015. Which I assume means it just leaks things from the past year but your website data and viewing history could be attached to your name and be available for anyone to see. Would a site like that be taken down before it caused alot of trouble? Im a struggling porn addict Im struggling to quit but if this stuff got out it would honestly ruin my life. How do I deal with this?

If it comes to pass it will be a hard thing to go through, but it may be the best thing that ever happens to you. When things come to light we need to deal with them. If you are struggling alone I recommend seeking help before everything hits the light of day.

Just stop looking at porn, man. It's your choice. No one else types or clicks your mouse for you. If you'd really wanted to stop, you would have stopped by now. Like any other addiction, you just have to stop using and cope with out having it in your life.

It's actually quite simple, just not easy.

That's only if you decide to make that change for youself.

If.

Best wishes.

So you are more worried about your info leaking on a porn site than your addiction by going to that site. I agree with everyone else and stay off the porn sites and open up your bible.

In regards to the addiction, I think the significance of fasting should be considered. Fasting in general is a denying of your flesh/appetite. Exercising temperance. It doesn't only apply to food, it can be applied to any appetite. Also nothing changes over night, although I'm optimistic enough to believe things can change over night, but exercising temperance, moments you can deny yourself, you can begin to discern the moments in which you can fully turn your back to temptation. You can't do it alone though, so pray about it, ask for the strength. Anytime you fail at denying yourself, the worst thing you can do is condemn yourself...so don't stop seeking Him. I'll say some prayers for you bro.

True Internet anonymity has never existed. Even in the infancy of the Internet it has been possible to trace what somebody accesses. The only difference is now you are aware of it.

Yea they can't. Because the only one who can is Jesus.

Besides, all that junk you hold, is just similar to a lot of junk all of us hold, so don't anybody down you about it. If these Christians claim how simple and easy it is to get rid of addiction, ask them how easy it was to lose their belly fat, or that sin they struggled with for 10+ years and still do?

I'm just saying... If you really want to get rid of it, you gotta start seeking the face of God, intimately, willingly, dying to yourself constantly, and forsaking your own life for the cause of Christ. Only then, when you're in the will of God, chains get broken, ropes get loosen, and power of holy Spirit shines better in you.

Forget all that "I need to do this, I gotta do this, I have to stop that..." It never works, and if it did, it was because of holy Ghost to start with. But if you catch yourself in this phase, is because A) You love the sin. B) You like the pleasure C) etc... And because of this, God has to work on your heart personally, refining you out of that process where you have to stop enjoying your sin, and starting to hate it. Thus, the process of going into the shed, or going into the wilderness begins in your life.

But if you aren't willing to walk into the wilderness with God, your just going to be stuck where you are for life. That's true preaching. God bless, and as I speak this, I feel a sense of holy Ghost with me. So I believe this message to be anointed by Christ. Take care brother, and start walking with Jesus.

"He who does not hate his father, mother, brother, and sister, cannot be my disciple..."

And remember brother, all of this is just a refining process in Gods kingdom to make you white as snow, shining brighter, and going from glory to glory with Christ Jesus. Even if God set you free instantly, the problem is, we aren't in that position in our life to not go back to the very thing he delivered us from to begin with. And because of this, we just end up going back to that very sin he delivered us from! With this in mind, God works in mysterious ways, ways that rid you of that joy for that sin, and create a longing-love for him. But it's a long process, and that process duration depends how willing you are to obey and listen by faith.

And I say again, God bless, and take care brother.
Ill leave you with another word that blessed me and my life, "(Your name here) if you love me, you'll die to yourself."

Please excuse me for using such language, as it was wrong choice of words. I tried to change, but the time limit on editing is a big annoyance on this website. Just change it to this,

If these people claim how simple and easy it is to get rid of addiction, ask them how easy it was to lose their belly fat, or that sin they struggled with for 10+ years and still do. It isn't so easy brother and sisters.

I was running low on time before I went to work. I just wanted a quick answer so it wouldn't bug me all day. I didn't get one so it did.

yeah ive been struggling for 14 years. I threw my porn away in April. But unfortunately the internet is still here. Ive repeatedly asked God and Jesus to come into my life. I know God works at his own pace and no one elses. hopefully something happens soon. Because simply telling me "stop going to it" won't help me. I doubt even if its leaked it will prevent me from doing it. Hopefully not though.

You only need to ask Jesus to come into your life once. How often do you read the Word of God? How often do you spend time praising the Lord? None of this saves you but when we draw closer to the Lord the more we turn away from the world and the temptations of the enemy. The reason we get closer to the Lord is we still have our carnal self to deal with. This is temptations of the flesh. Get off your computer and open the Bible. Get involved in Church and get into a bible study. Focus on the Lord, Focus on the Lord, Focus on the Lord.

I'm not really sure what advice you are looking for here, it sounds like you expect God to save you from the consequences of your sin.

That being said there is help out there if you're not already getting it.
Pastoral advice
Counseling
Celebrate recovery
Discipleship/accountability partner

Well... *shrug* that's the risk you run then. Nothing much else I can say.

I haven't had any practice hiding what I do online but I have some friends who are hackers. White-hat hackers, the good guys in the internet security world. If you were a nerd I could suggest some stuff you could use to hide your online activities. But normal people wouldn't even begin to understand the instructions. You kinda have to be a nerd to do it.
