That was debunked a long time ago. Sarin gas being used is indisputable and that is true, but Assad did not launch the attacks. It was the Syrian Rebels we funded. http://www.globalresearch.ca/syria-...ainst-civilians-and-government-forces/5363139
They don't know who launched the gas attacks, they simply think it the rebels, just like America and Europe think it was Assad. Though for America, I do believe we have spied on them and have even their own generals planning it.

Even this article says though the obvious that there is no way the rebels would have had that capability nor more importantly the capability to deliver the gas attacks at that time. The gas attacks were done from the air. It's as simple as figuring Assad is the only one with an airforce at that time. Though much has changed since then and lots of that air force is destroyed and replaced with Russia and NATO.

As I said, that narrative was long ago debunked. This has been investigated and proven already via the U.N. The rebels DID have that capability and did initiate the attacks. Here are two relevant quotes from the source I gave you.

"The attacks of March 19, August 24 and August 25, 2013 upon Syrian government soldiers indicate that the rebels were in possession of sarin both before and immediately after the chemical weapon attack at Ghouta of August 21, 2013. It would have been virtually impossible for the rebels to acquire chemical weapons so quickly in late August had they not already previously been in possession of chemical weapons."

"
At the time, al-Nusra was operating in areas close to Damascus, including Eastern Ghouta. An intelligence document issued in mid-summer dealt extensively with Ziyaad Tarriq Ahmed, a chemical weapons expert formerly of the Iraqi military, who was said to have moved into Syria and to be operating in Eastern Ghouta. The consultant told me that Tariq had been identified ‘as an al-Nusra guy with a track record of making mustard gas in Iraq and someone who is implicated in making and using sarin.’ He is regarded as a high-profile target by the American
military.”

Al Nursa is one of the terrorist groups we fund.

The gas attacks and all that are somewhat irrelevant at this point. There will be no UN or ICC trials. The trial is with the sword and blood in Syria. Much has changed since then. No good guys, no good side in Syria.

Here is the least violent video I could find pertaining to the recent Russian activities. No gore or people seen dead or any of that, but shows some explosions Russian airstrikes. Particularly the strike on Hama which was discussed in this forum earlier. Some rebels shouting "all to the snackbar" that seems to open everywhere war breaks out. The quite dreadful effects of those missiles Russia launched from the Caspian Sea not long ago. Basically the most up to date video I could find without gore.

I noted the song Kalinka lol. So Syria went from an Arab Spring to a Russian Winter. Putin's little berry though doth sour, and the Syrian will eat it bitterly.

The place where those last bombs were dropped looked and sounded like Yemen, not Syria.

Lol maybe it is, who knows it? I didn't make the video. Yemen and the turn in that war is another big topic that is kept on the downlow over here. Would definitely welcome any news updates on that. Not much familiarity with the war in Yemen besides the basics that the government was deposed not long ago and the Saudis and Iranians are duking it out there. I do know America has been involved bombing AQAP over there until the recent throw down of the government in which case they publicly told us they pulled out. Another civil war in the collection of civil wars that is World War 3.

There was an epic Yemeni scud attack on a Saudi airbase a few days ago. Something like 17 F-16s destroyed. If I find where I saw that I'll post it here.

Seems Saudi Arabia is on the move there. Makes sense why it is not covered much here. Yemen been at war though even before the government toppled. Again client states and empires, the folly of alliances. The Saudi's there for the kindness of their hearts or because they are puppet masters of that peninsula? Not really a good deal for the people of Yemen. Like Syria it be better if they ceased the violence, got rid of islam and became a Christian nation. Sadly seems by this report and the scant prior reports they will instead fight bitterly and violence will grow large and burn across the land laying it low like a fire whether any of us want it to or not sadly. May the Christians escape from there too.

Russia overrides Middle East cyber waves

Their presence in the two bases draws a strong arc of Russian aerial control at the heart of Middle East. By boosting its two extremities with state-of-the-art electronic warfare systems, Moscow has imposed a new reality whereby it will soon be almost impossible for any air or ground force, American or Israeli, to go into military action above or inside Syria or Iraq without prior coordination with the Russians.
The bricks of Russian domination are now almost all in place.

US weighs putting special forces on the ground in Syria, with some on the ground in Iraq to support attack helicopters...

U.S. weighs special forces in Syria, helicopters in Iraq | Reuters

Quote from article...."The United States is considering sending a small number of special operations forces to Syria and attack helicopters to Iraq as it weighs options to build momentum in the battle against Islamic State, U.S. officials said on Tuesday.

Two U.S. officials, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity to discuss ongoing deliberations, said any deployments would be narrowly tailored, seeking to advance specific, limited military objectives in both Iraq and Syria.
That option includes temporarily deploying some U.S. special operations forces inside of Syria to advise moderate Syrian opposition fighters for the first time and, potentially, to help call in U.S. air strikes, one official said.
Other possibilities including sending a small number of Apache attack helicopters, and U.S. forces to operate them, to Iraq, as well as taking steps to bolster other Iraqi capabilities needed to claw back territory from Islamic State." [end quote]

Funny, I thought I heard the saying no boots on the ground concerning Syria? Must have been my imagination. :)

Well I guess it was not my imagination as some others also noticed the double talk from the Whitehouse on this "no boots on the ground" promise being broken. Also the Iraq government says it did ask for, nor does it need US troops on the ground without it's permission.

Iraq: We Didn't Ask for U.S. Ground Operations - NBC News

Quote from article......"The Iraqi government said Wednesday it didn't ask for — and doesn't need — the "direct action on the ground" promised by the Pentagon.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's spokesman told NBC News that any military involvement in the country must be cleared through the Iraqi government just as U.S.-led airstrikes are." [end quote]

Think the US will ask for permission? :)

That could be said about every christian in every part of the world, not only about those in Syria. Only because one man identifies himself as a Christian and committed a sin (murder) does not change the reality that Christians in Syria are being severely persecuted and denied basic human rights and are in need of help.

We need to keep what in mind? That isolated case of a Christian decapitating a Muslim?

Christians (not 'christians') in that part of the world need help!

Persecution In Syria | Christian Freedom International
i don't deny that many christians are being persecuted in syria and iraq...however not every instance of violence against christians is persecution...we need to be careful not to confuse christians choosing the losing side of a political and military conflict with 'persecution'...especially in that part of the world where the institutional churches are accustomed to taking sides in conflicts for reasons other than christian morality...

Ridiculous. To say such a thing shows a profound ignorance of the situation.
the primary beneficiary of russia's airstrikes to date has been ISIS...who have been able to move in on the cities controlled by the other rebel groups that the airstrikes are primarily targeting...

i would say that makes russia's intentions dubious at least...most likely putin wants to eliminate any opposition to assad that would actually be palatable to the west...allowing assad to stay in power with only limited objection from the west...

and it is a rather poorly kept secret that assad has not devoted much of his military strength to fighting ISIS...he has directed most of his military action against the rebel groups not affiliated with ISIS...

i would say that makes assad's stance towards ISIS dubious at least...most likely assad wouldn't mind having ISIS wipe out what is left of the other rebel groups and then come to some sort of understanding with them...since ISIS evolved from a group that was an old ally of his anyway...

Under the secularist Assad, minorities (e.g., Christians) were/are protected. Under the salafists the minorities would be wiped out or severely persecuted.
correction...minorities such as christians were protected so long as they supported the assad regime...

criticize the regime and see how long that protection lasts...this is the way so many institutional churches have been twisted into puppets of the state...

At least one major reason for Christians being targeted is that they support Assad because he is supposed to be tolerant of
religious minorities. This doesn't go down well with the Sunni Muslim majority. Assad and his supporters are Sheite

Assad is Alawite, a sect of Shia, to be precise.

Report: IAF strikes Damascus Airport - Middle East - News - Arutz Sheva

Arab media reports Israeli fighter jets hit Damascus international airport, taking out electricity and halting flights - target unclear.
According to the reports, powerful explosions were heard in the international airport. In parallel, the airport's electricity went out completely, and flight traffic was temporarily halted.
It is not clear whether the target of the alleged strikes were an arms shipment, or a terror cell planning attacks against Israel.
Just last week Arab media quoted sources in Syria reporting that the IAF struck a transfer of Scud missiles to the Iran terror proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon, in strikes that took place in the Qalamoun mountainous border region.
That report followed on the heels of Syrian media reports the previous Saturday of an alleged Israeli airstrike in the Qalamoun region, targeting Hezbollah and Syrian regime forces.

Seems things ain't going as easily as the Russians thought it would. Personally I am not surprised.
Things are going very well. Kweiris airbase in Aleppo has just been liberated from ISIS after a 3 year siege. When a large enough perimeter is secured, Russia will begin using this airbase also. Jihadist defenses are collapsing all over the place.
