A goober is a type of US snack? Interesting. It's not really a word that's used much here in Australia. But I've always used it to describe a Muppet (silly/cheeky person). :)

"Goober" used to be another word for peanuts. It is also a word for people who aren't bright, or are intelligent but have a mental lapse and do something stupid.

Well the term might be used different in different parts of the world.

Though my friends say I have more than average intelligence, I have been a goober sometimes. And probably will be at some point in the future.

Sometimes, you feel like a nut; sometimes, you don't. Goober (a nut) - that could be a very real description for some people. I've certainly encountered some people like that.

Um. Were they speaking another language? I couldn't make out much of what they were saying. And is it just me, or did they purposefully get people who can't sing for peanuts (haw, haw) to sing?
