That could mean many things, Food, sex, People. Power. Position. Money.

the text does not say,

And you wonder why I wouldn't debate with you. Why not pick food then. Paul was consumed by food, hows that?

I looked it up in two reputable dictionaries and they both said the same thing. But you stick with food, why not

No one can overcome any sin apart from obedience to Jesus Christ through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
You will do well on these kinds of websites. You cant properly address the contradictions so you just keep responding as best you can till I give up asking anymore. That's normally the way it works. You are a natural at this

I could suggest you humble yourself and admit you could be wrong then all your problems would be over, no more contradictions in your beliefs
However, I know you would prefer to keep the contradictions than admit you could be wrong lol
Lack of humility is not one of my problems. If I was wrong, I'd say so. Certainly, you do not have the spiritual ammo to prove yourself.

Paul did not write bble in the English so your dictionaries are useless, even if they are reputable, it goes off the assumption the ones who interpret the bible you are using got it right,

I already proved that their interpretations is only one of the possible interpretation. It may be sex, it may not be, But you want me to assume, because of some English dictionary??

paul did not say food, nor did he say sex, He just said coveting was a sin, and if he tried in the flesh to not covet, he failed.

so why would you want me to go against the rules of textual criticism of greek words and say he was addicted (not used) to sex or food?

That's odd

You would do yourself great favor if you stop judging people and claiming they did something they did not do.

Your interpretations makes it sound like she contradicted. that's all. There is no contradiction using her interpretation.

So your the one with the problem. not her.

No one would. You'd never change your mind

To you, the ten commandments came to Paul the christian. He had felt alive before they came( when he was a Pharisee) but when they did come to him the christian sin sprang to life and he died. All manner of concupiscence was aroused in Paul by sin through the law when he became a christian, and the commandment that was supposed to give him life if he obeyed it instead brought death for he could not keep it.
Sin through the law slew Paul the christian who wasn't then under a law of righteousness

Whatever makes you happy I guess

So paul was right

By the flesh we can not stop sin, or do what we really want to do. But by walking in the spirit, we can not only beat sin, but do what we desire to do.

Thank you. I am not sure why some people think this is such a hard concept to comprehend..

But Paul said he COULD NOT do the good he wanted to do

He didn't say sometimes he could did he

Addiction to sin WAS NOT broken in Paul's life, he was sins slave
Surely you ate battling that same thing right now.

Yes, our addiction to sin is broken by the power of the living Christ coming in to dwell within us. No longer are we powerless to sin. We can ow rise up as Paul definitely did regularly as an overcomer and refuse sin in favour of righteous acts that bring glory to God!

So when paul was out killing Christians, even though the law said that was a sin. Paul did not feel alive (because he did not understand the law)

I think he felt quite alive, and empowered. He though he was obeying the law, heck he did not even need a savior. he was good enough.

ok. Thanks, now it is getting more clear why you believe the way you do

it makes no sense, but it is getting clearer.

Youcsee, I was right, no point I discussing anything with you you never change your mind

Glad yo hear you believe Paul the christian who was not under law was slain by sin through the law

Glad to hear you believe sin manifested/grew in Paul once he lived under grace not law

You want to start preaching this, maybe Tha will bring more to church

well since I did not say any of what you just accused me of, You continue to prove your a bearer of false witness.

Do not be so mighty and claim you have stopped sin, when you are sitting their breaking a commandment yourself..

That's not the way to convince people your right..

By the way, I am glad you were never slain by the law after you came to Christ and you by some miracle became a person who had no sin, and was perfect.

Because that's what you claim happened to paul.

either way, I have answered all your questions, as has the other person. We have done what you asked. it is obvious you will never change your mind. and you have not given me any reason to change mine, so we are at a stale mate, we need to humble ourselves and move on with out all the condemnation and judgment of the other.

You are confused and trying to sow confusion. Paul didn't receive the law when he received faith. He received SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST. From the vantage point of grace, we can see how the law magnifies sin. The flesh bristles under grace.

Your response shows you haven't got a clue about this and I'm not going tovwaste my Tim discussing it with you. But what ibtold you was accurate.
If you believe those verses are about Paul the christian you would have to believe once gw was under grace not law all manner of concupiscence was aroused in him and sin through the law he was not under slew him

Thank you. I do well, indeed. I continue reiterating the truth and of course, it cannot be assailed, and then you give up.

You have no clue about Thi subject. I will put your false claims about me down to your ignorance of what you have tried to address, I won't take if you deliberately lied

As i told you earlier, stick to the basics of grace and calling people heretics that is your comfort zone
