"Yesterday I din't know how ta spell college graduate; today I are one!"

"20 items or less"

"Less commercials"

"Less calories"

"Supposably"

I don't know what you is talking about.
Umm, excuse us, but it's ME don't know what you is talking about.
Please get it rite, before Dude three hundred sixty-five
has a whole nother brakedown all of a sudden.

But irregardless.....

It's probably because I am such a compassionate and forgiving person, but I hardly even notice it.

Ya know, this thread might explain why certain people seem to have no idea what a post they just finished reading truly meant. So, they reply with some of these idiotic and unfathomable answers that are way off in left-field.

I wonder how people can't grasp the basic fundamentals of their own language. I have a friend from Tanzania and her understanding of English grammar is better than many I know here.

What I love are the posts in which people who can't even compose a decent sentence in English are telling us of all the subtle nuances of the various Biblical languages.

It's one thing not to know, but I cannot count the number of people I have met who couldn't care less about such things as proper spelling, correct grammar, or even calling somebody by their right name. It shows a serious lack of respect when taken to that level. There's probably more involved as well, such as laziness. American education levels are falling.

Lynn, you are mindful, literate, and intelligent, so you do not have to overly concern with such things; because you cared enough at some previous point to hone your language skills, now it is as second nature to you :)

Please tell me I'm not the only one. I am infuriated by bad grammar. I frequently find myself wanting to correct people's grammar and sentence structure on Facebook. The most common infractions are the misuse of I and me and misuse of the word whom.

Would you be infuriated if Jesus spoke to you incorrectly? Rather than being infuriated at people who lack grammatical skills, why not, with a gentle heart, correct them on the QT.
