Scripture never says what you espouse.

They never would have gone through physical death, had they not sinned and become sinful mortals. Just because the bible doesn't say they were immortal, doesn't mean it wasn't true.

The flesh counts for nothing. I see a lot of wishful thinking but no Scripture to back your position.

So you think if they had NOT eaten the fruit, they would still have died eventually anyway? Death didn't enter the world until AFTER they sinned.

But they had not eaten of the Tree of Life... so your assumptions seem unfounded.
I think it's safe to assume that they did eat of the tree of life whenever they felt like it. And that's why they were removed from the garden so that they would no longer be able to partake of it's benefits, and so eventually die.

:eek::eek::eek: lolol...

I've always understood the account of Adam and Eve as the two of them being innocent/ignorant until eating of the tree of knowledge, not "immortal." I'm kind of ignorant myself, though. :p

In the born again person, his spirit is holy, but his soul and body (the flesh) follows over a lifetime of conforming to the likeness of Christ.

Everything bolded I fully agree with, to only add that our flesh is also holy. That doesn't mean that it is not sinful. Sacrifices for sin in the old covenant were most holy. That in a picture is grace.

In the spirit we were saved and seal.

2nd Corinthians 1:20-22
King James Version(KJV)

20.)For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

21.)Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

22.Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

As far as the flesh our bodies have not been glorified yet,
but someday when we get our glorified bodies we will no longer sin In the flesh.

Genesis 3:22 teaches us otherwise concerning the Tree of Life.
Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”

Seriously, how can one reasonably assume that Adam and Eve didn't eat of the tree of life. They had permission to do so. But they had to keep eating of it to remain alive. It's a picture of Christ. We don't take one bite and live forever; we have to keep eating else we will spiritually die.

I would say that Christians still stumble and sin but I would not classify as sinners.

Look up!..FreeNChrist...looks like there is a lot of evangelizing needed...

Ya'll need to "REPENT"

John 4:35 (NASB)
[SUP]35 [/SUP] "Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.

All these sinners, no wonder why there's so much sinning going on....

This belief that it only took one bite of the tree of life to live forever encapsulates the essence of OSAS and New Grace beliefs: That we only have to take one bite of the bread of life to live forever. That would be nice, but it doesn't work that way. We have to continually eat of the bread of life.

Oh? Jesus says otherwise.

John 6; [SUP]35 [/SUP]And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. [SUP]36 [/SUP]But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. [SUP]37 [/SUP]All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. [SUP]38 [/SUP]For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. [SUP]39 [/SUP]This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. [SUP]40 [/SUP]And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day

[SUP]47 [/SUP]Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[SUP][g][/SUP] has everlasting life. [SUP]48 [/SUP]I am the bread of life. [SUP]49 [/SUP]Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. [SUP]50 [/SUP]This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. [SUP]51 [/SUP]I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
