Whats your intake on movies that are PG-13 or R with sexual scenes or half naked people or even full on nudity? Do you allow or approve of your significant other or children to watch it? What's your opinion on it with how God looks upon us making the choice to watch it?

I don't have tv or cable. I HATE watching movies where people get fully or half naked.. It's disgusting.. I would never let my kids watch that either..If I wanna see a naked woman, I'll strip down and stare at myself in the mirror..lol.. :) Sex sells, sex gets high tv and movie ratings. It's all done for $$$...

My take is that I would not want to see such movies. I'm not sure how God feels about this, but it would probably depend on the individual. My daughter is 36 so she can watch what she wants but she's not much for trash on the screen either.

I'd say God ain't too keen on it. But I have to admit that my finger takes a while to depress the button on the remote.

Well is the nudity sexual? If it is then yeah. But if its someone just taking a shower, then no there's a difference. The question is at what point does it become sexual. Thats pretty debatable. Anything can be sexual if you mean it to be or look at it that way. There's a difference between nudity and porn though. We all have to be naked at some point, porn not so much. It depends on the culture. In anime there are a lot of nude scenes, but most are non sexual. Nudity means purity over there so there's a difference between the way we percieve it. If an American see's nudity. Its automaticly labeled porn. Thats just my opinion on it though, I could be wrong.

I guess I disagree.....each person is different and can be tempted more easier in different situations. I know that I can walk into a casino and not spend a penny and not even flinch. If I walk into a buffet resteraunt, I will prolly fail. But that might not be to the next person. I think when it comes to situations and things like that, you can sit there and not even think twice, but the person next to you could go beyond in their head till it turns into a sin.

I belive the Bible talks about walking away from temptation, so like with me, I don't go to resteraunts where I know Im setting myself up for failure. I stay away from them and other things that I may or may not even fail in.

I detest movies that are full of sex and nudity for the sake of skin, not because someone is showering. I tend to watch TV dramas because they mostly stay away from that sort of thing.

I also like reading, and you can get the same kind of immoral things in a book or short story. I have been a Sci Fi fan most of my life. I could always rely on it being "clean." About the story, not trying to suck us into a porn show. I bought an anthology of last year's best Sci Fi on Kindle, so I didn't get a chance to sample it.

I'm on the third story in the book, and I have had to skip through all three because of the high sexual content. I notice the editor of the anthology says in the preface that the choices of stories to put in the book were few and far between. Of course, all the grandmaster's of Sci Fi are dead now.

As for Game of Thrones, the books don't dwell on sex, it is more just part of life. The TV show spend way too much time on full frontal nudity for women, esp. young prostitutes. I couldn't be more disappointed in Marsh. First he takes 10 years to get out the next book, but whoops, he didn't make the deadline! Well, who needs to buy his books, when in fact he is already ahead on of the books on the show. If you want to watch such stuff!

I don't know if this is even being a Christian, but the way I was raised. My mom and dad were very conservative, and I guess I follow that line. But I do also know that Jesus does not want us to watch porn on TV, for sure!

Honestly, my reaction is split. If it is necessary to the plot or in documentaries, nudity is just simply part of some cultures. However, I have never seen a sex scene that felt necessary.

If you don't want Jesus to be with you while you are watching it, then there's your answer.

This is my measuring stick of what I watch, listen to, etc.

Phil 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever thingsare just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I was raised that way also and I agree with you with the books. The whole Grey book movie, IDK what its called hype, I wasn't interested in it, nor have I seen or watched it. I was raised where stuff like that wasn't allowed in my household and then I see another Christian who wasn't raised that way but seem to have the same morals and values and they don't flinch. IDK

Nudity is not offensive, nor is sex, but the blatant exploitation of it is tacky and ethically reprehensible.

Get real dude. Why do you think it was relevant for a shower scene? Ill answer that for you. It isnt! It was put there so you can look at a woman showering and lust. You seriously need to get real. Btw: Anime is evil.

Lets see what God has to say.

[h=3]Matthew 6:22-23[/h][h=3][/h][h=3][/h] “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

[h=3]Psalm 101:2-4[/h][h=3][/h][h=3][/h] I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.

[h=3]Proverbs 4:14[/h]
[h=3][/h][h=3][/h] Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil.

[h=3]Job 31:1[/h]
[h=3][/h][h=3][/h] “I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I gaze at a virgin?

[h=3]1 John 2:15-17[/h]
[h=3][/h][h=3][/h] Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

I hate most things on tv but especially this. Lol if the kids are seeing something and accidentally some of those words even going that way I yell: PUT IT OFF! Put up something christian or go watch a program for toddlers. Lol we have a company or something in Holland that decides which ages can watch which movies and if it has sex or cursing or violence in it. It's called the Kijkwijzer. My ex used to say: It's not normal. I'm married to the Kijkwijzer. It's like I'm living with my mom again. He secretly upstairs watched Gulliver's travels. Hahahahahahaha I guess I went too far then. I even thought Winny the Pooh was occult because bears can't talk. They have to be demon posessed. Luckily for my kids I normalized, but that crap: No way. We once visited an unbelieving friend of my ex who had this filth on. He didn't say something about it, so I just walked away, outside.

It used to be extreme in Holland, even on normal television in commercials. I remember my aunt from Canada once came over and she was shocked.

I think that is born specifically out of the Scriptures' comment in Paul's letters that somethings are stumbling blocks to some people and not to others. To the one who views anime as evil, it may be a stumbling block. To the one who doesn't see it as evil, the stumbling block isn't there. It's more to do with our conception of the world around us, than God giving one group a set of rules another group doesn't have to follow.

Well, maybe so. But I see it as being one of the few honest men reporting. LOL

I figure if a man says he doesn't like the female form, he'll lie about other stuff, too.
