Like every time you try to check out at a store these days and they are all:
Clerk: Okay what's your zipcode?
Me: ...rattles off zipcode
Clerk: And your email?
Me: ... ... ... reluctantly rattles off email
Clerk: And your phone number.
Me: No thanks. -_-
Why do I need to provide all my personal info to buy a t-shirt at JC Penney?? -_-

You buy a t-shirt at JC Penney???!!!
You..... you ...... you are one of them!!!
So this happened last weekend when I went out with my friends for a dinner.
It was a fancy Thai restaurant and none of us had any cash. To make things worse, both my friends had forgotten to bring their wallets. I checked my debit card and to our relief there was just about enough money to pay for the 3 of us, provided we skip dessert and order only water for beverage. When we stepped in, the receptionist asked me for my name, my phone number and the number of guests. I told them that I did not wish to give my phone number and gave them the other details instead. That stunned them but they didn't say anything (apparently, guests ALWAYS give their number). I walked to the dinner table feeling like a total badass.
Guess what happened? On Sunday I realized that I had left my card in the restaurant. I called them up and asked them if they had my card, to which they replied that they did. Then the guy at the reception added, "We wanted to contact you to let you know that we had your card, but we did not have your phone number."
*I reply in a sheepish tone* "Erm. Sorry?" -____-
