Ooof. That hurts...

Nuke, I've seen your pictures and you are quite handsome. Not to mention the fact that you are a compassionate person with a killer sense of humor I wish you'd bring here to the forum more often. :D In fact, if I remember right, I've even seen a picture of you in a tux. Yeah, I know you're gonna hurt me for that one. You looked rather dapper.

I also remember the time when you posted pictures of you and your twin, who happened to be a pug... :p

And, I've ALMOST forgiven you for the time you made a post of me and my "date" (an 80-something-year-old man.)

ALMOST.

Thanks for the above comments...they show that you are an ideal candidate for LASIK eye surgery.

(You know, I can't find that tux pic anywhere...I still think that I looked like a mortician.)

You can't say that my sense of humor is 'killer'. I was acquitted. The jury unanimously sided with me. (I'm sure that the jury being made up entirely of elderly men had nothing to do with it.)

How much does this eye surgery cost?
I read Kim's post and I thought she said that you looked like a diaper. On closer examination, I realized that she typed dapper.

Maybe it was a typo? :)

Oh, that's entirely possible. Knowing it is Kim... at her age.....
No, no, little one. You misunderstood the context.

For Nukepooch, I wrote "dapper", but for you, it would indeed be a "diaper"--because I assume you're so much younger than me that you are simply practicing/trying to show off your newly-developed reading skills. :p;)

Kim, you are SO MEAN!!! How could you get so personal like that? Why would you call me younger? Why would you say that I'm still in my diapers? You are so rude and mean!

I am offended....

I'm going to stand in my cot and cry.

Round No. 1011 goes to Kim.
The score so far is: Kim - 1, Roh - 1010. :p

Edit to add: This is a representational picture of me crying right now. I'm South Asian.

There, there, Roh. How about a nice, soothing blanket and a binky to go with that cry?

However, you have a little competition to ward up before you can get to them (have I mentioned we old ladies don't play fair):

NukePooch..
Are you not aware that good old U.S.A has 'dumbed down" education to the masses, just so no child is left behind? I am a teacher myself and have done a lot of substituting in local schools also. One shocker is that cursive writing is not in vogue anymore, spelling is now done phonetically...meaning that a child's classwork and homework is accepted as long as the wording is near enough. For example...Dolphin (correct spelling) is now Dollfin (phonetically) correct Children are encouraged to spell a word like it sounds. This is called CORE Curriculum. It 'evens out" the spellers from the misspellers..sadly.

Unfortunately, pwrn's not kidding.
Yep, 'Common Core'. It's ruining what is left of America in the name of political correctness and other similar tripe. I have heard that 2+2=5 can get credit for being a correct answer as long as the method shown to arrive at the answer is 'correct' (which is a completely different method that has been taught before, and doesn't make any sense at all).

Recent undercover videos have surfaced showing workers from the major schoolbook publishing companies talking about how Common Core was developed to sell all new textbooks.

It's the way of modern society. Truth is entirely relative. Whatever you believe is correct, even if it's proven to be wrong. It's why Facebook has 50+ gender choices for only two actual genders.

The pictures you posted are very good explanations for the simple concepts of addition and subtraction. So I don't see what's wrong with that.

(Just confused here..)

As I understand, the old way of 'carry the 1' is not allowed anymore...the new way must be diagrammed as shown in order to get the credit. Again, the answer is not important, but the new method is what gets credit.
