If a person just looked at themselves with a magnifying glass would they think that something they did over the course of a week or a month could be construed as against Christ, or against scriptural teaching, etc...?

Would that "one" mistake you committed over the course of that month qualify you as a false Christ or false teacher or false whatever else?

Or would you "forgive" yourself of that mistake and seek Christ and His Mercy and Grace? Considering yourself, once again, a True Christian...

I think we could label every person on Earth as a false something or other if we keep the magnifying glass on them for long enough.

Don't you?
That's why the focus of this thread was on the men and women who have made careers out of it. They do qualify. As I told Blain, this thread was not designed for confused Christians who may be under a temporary deception or those who are legitimately looking for Christ but are deceived. I actually made this thread in hopes of helping those that are deceived.

The complete and utter denial of the existence of these types from some people though is totally mind boggling.

Copeland? A 33 degree mason. A lot of the TBN wolves are. They are 'plants' by nefarious groups to undermine the christian message. Google it.

He doesn't need people, He chooses to use people when and where and how He darn well pleases.
The eternal Creator of the entire universe is simply hogtied, without the denizens of the flesh.

I just watched a giant crop leap 2.5 meters of his body length out of the water to nip a bat out of an overhanging branch. ..on Nat Geo

Who knew

Getting back to the topic of confusion....since God Himself will send delusion and confusion. ..I would assemble a little more humility in my spirit rather than jesting and mockery

The complete and utter denial of the Holy Spirit as sent from God on the day of Pentecost to be anything more than what religious people say He is in the lives of believers, is totally mind boggling!

But I should be OK. ..just rebuke the spirit of boggles

Amazing how you say everybody else has a garbage view who disagrees, then "God bless you," what, some cliche you tack on, as a pretense of being charitable, after calling others' real concerns garbage? Only you can call out garbage, then? If it's not your talk, it's garbage talk? If what some of us know to be charlatans are, in fact, just money grubbing con men and women, there is this to consider,
I'm glad somebody else is seeing it.

I see you shoot Bible verses

What caliber?
We can't use people on youtube who very properly exposition scripture to back up there point when exposing blatant heretics. We can't use scripture. Is scripture not authoritative enough? Do we need some hyper emotional "God encounter" to be able to speak to you?

I am not saying there are not excesses as there are in every ministry no matter who they are...that wasn't the point...it's the mocking of the spiritual gifts that I was getting at. I don't watch Copeland ...and that wasn't the point....and there are people that are against the gifts of the Spirit no matter what.. are there excesses?..and people doing things in the flesh?..of course...

....the person that made that video that made that sickening mockery of a person speaking in tongues by adding garbage "interpretations" was totally out of line as a Christian....

That's all I have to say on that subject..if people want to mock the gifts of the Spirit..that is their business..I'm just stating my views...The Lord bless you!

You really need to back up a bit there and consider that, if you can call those who have solid, Biblical reasons, as well as the man's own obscene rhetoric and behavior, and others like him; if there are those with discernment (and it doesn't take much!) that see Copeland is a charlatan, then there's the undeniable possibility that, on this basis, the garbage talk is coming from people who are championing charlatans.

2 John 1:10-11 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

In any case, if somebody's peddling garbage, and somebody comes along and says eat garbage, this could also be garbage talk, royale, you think? People who claim special manifestations of the Holy Spirit, that have their special little denomination that babbles, convulsively rolls on the floor, smacks people on the head or throws jackets at them, has them uncontrollably laughing or walking on all fours on a dog leash, in fits of emotional hysteria with similitude only to lunacy or demon possession, where you can't tell a church service from a riot, incessantly running a carnal pitch for money that goes to mansions, Bentleys, swimming pools and jets, despite scripture warnings, be prepared there are many Christians who, flat out, have a "No thanks!" for you, in fact find it all so fake as to be obscene. Some of us are never going to buy what they're selling. Get used to this and stop trying to sell it to many of us who know what a real man of God is, and is not.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:19-23

The "love card" or "judge not" cards remain the two highest cards in the deck, played when uncomfortable truths arise.

John 3:20-21 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

He used to tell me all of the time that he loved me... Wherefore art the bowels of his compassion now? All he doeth now is pulleth out the joker card and sayeth "Malice! Slander!"

More blanket condemnations from you. Do you really believe everything you say? And more denials from you. You were defending Copeland just a few posts ago! You blow like a sheet in the wind.

The oral roberts clan did have a time and season in my life. i use to watch kenneth, creflo, joyce, john, and the rest. a church i went to was a spin off of the group. oral came and preached once that i know of. i use to get up with plenty of time to watch them in the morning it was like a medicine to get the day started. If anybody back then would have said something against them, i would have stuck up for them. They helped build my faith, and dig deeper into the Word, so i can't really call them false, it seems that they have helped a lot of people. By the time jo prince came along, i had pretty much lost my intrest, but the couple times i was channel surfing looking for preachers which are few and far between compared to how it use to be. well i havn't been able to watch only a couple minutes and thats enough for me.

It's part of the cult disease, all God's special creatures. The art of tickling ears is to tickle egos. The narcissism always emerges, because they, in fact, believe they have some lease on truth, in this case even a special Holy Spirit only they get that tens of thousands of other congregations lack (it's that stupid!), so be prepared to be sometimes called a devil or threatened when you're not buying what they're peddling, when their emotional juices start flowing with that anointed blah, blah, blah, the charismatics great at telling you God's going to zap you in one post, then proclaiming their love in the next. Down in the holler, they say, "That dog don't hunt."

I've wondered if several are even believing what they say. Many seem to say "I don't necessarily like this person and what they teach, but somehow I believe and practice what they teach anyway so I will defend it".

The problem is that they think we have an improper understanding of the spiritual gifts. I would argue to the contrary. Many of them have probably had some extreme emotional experiences and thought it was God, so it solidified their system of beliefs because it makes them feel special in some way.

What many of them don't get is that I was where they are just not that long ago and have come out of it. I used to think I was some kind of something special. A prophet, or having visions, or was destined to do something no one else could do for God. It's all delusions. It's not the spiritual gifts described in scripture. And I know how hard it is to let go of that. It's painful breaking free from deception and coming to truth. It decimates our egos and who we are.

This is the heart of cult mentality. "You are special and anyone who disagrees is demonic". Cults and false teachers/prophets always offer the most basic of human desires. Wealth and power.

Guys, you got to understand there are legalistic evil demon possessed people who are making up this stuff, faking videos and putting it up to mock men of God.

When you read their books, which say the same things as the video clips, when you hear and see full conferences of this stuff going on and on, you know it is all true and none is faked. In fact the followers are so proud of their leaders they want everyone to see.

It is like Creflo Dollar saying sickness and poverty are curses. You go to his web site and there it is.

I would suggest rather than demon possessed people creating these delusions, it is demons possessing these very people who are doing this stuff and thinking "Boy this is how God works."

And me just saying this means I am in trouble, oh no, here comes the censor police.........tremble......sweat........lol

Exactly. They neither even have any semblance of the behavior or preaching of the Lord Jesus and the apostles. It's entirely a modern fabrication, what's, actually, big business. Religion is the most lucrative, legal con imaginable, all the rewards, with no risk of jail, if you play ball with a decent tax attorney or accountant. A con man who can play a religious gig would be stupid to be involved in risky criminal behavior, for much less reward.
