I read the Bible regularly and books by other Christians about their relationship with God. I talk to God regularly. I sing praise and worship songs to God regularly (as a church and on my own). I enjoy deep discussions with family and friends about faith and life. But despite all of this, I struggle in my relationship with God. I struggle to hear from Him.

Its been a rough couple of months for myself as well... I still struggle to hear God and what he wants me to do, but it also helps when you have 3 close friends at church that you consider family to give you phrophetic word 3 different ways and telling you what you NEED to do... And one day you do as you are told and everything around you changes.. This weekend has been a complete eye opener for me, I mean literally... To the point where I have cut ties with certain 'friends' in my life and boy, do I feel so much stronger after doing that! It takes time Tintin... It will happen for you when you very least expect it. I'll be praying for you also about a job opening soon, keep doing what you are doing and trust that God is in control and knows what's best for us. :)

Thank you, sister. It's just taking so d@mn long and I'm just sick of everything. My anxiety has spiked through the roof. The other day it felt like the walls were closing in on me and I started freaking out. I haven't had something like that happen before. I'm meant to be getting better, not worse. Ugh.

Wait till you run to the Emergency Room convinced your dying and the nurses/doctors don't seem to care because they know it's anxiety. Which makes you wonder why they don't care that you're dying. Good times!

What, going to the emergency room and them treating you like that??

thats awful... :(
Yeah, it's pretty common. First time i went they didn't even tell me anything. Just left me sitting in the waiting room. I kept asking when i was going back to be seen. Finally after a while the nurse comes out and says it's just anxiety and hands me a pill. Pill did nothing. Came out later and handed me a second pill, nothing. Finally they took me back, gave me a third pill and i fell asleep. =P

Yeah, brother. I know you've had it much worse. I'm sorry.

And i know of others who have had it worse than me. Before i had my anxiety my (then) girlfriend had it a few years earlier, and i was always having to help her through it. I found it annoying after a while.

But then after i had mine i had another girlfriend who had it, and worse than i had. Helping her was much easier and less frustrating. Having experienced it yourself makes a huge difference.

*while applying for a parttime job*

Lady in e-mail: I would like to know a few details about you and if you can send a few pictures of you, that would be great.

If it wasn't going to be paying $20/hour, I would have totally sent this one:

A co-worker brought me a meal from McDonald's one night... I LOVE fast food but rarely eat it (maybe once a month), so as I was scarfing down my beloved Filet'O'Fish, he laughed and made the comment that I was like a kid with a Happy Meal.

I paid him back by bringing in his favorite sushi, ironically called, "The Temptation Roll."

Have I mentioned that he's white, and I'm Asian.

Can you tell which one of us has the more cultured, refined tastes when it comes to fish...

It's quite common now, at least here.
I never upload/ send images unless I somehow get past the interview part, as they then obviously know what I look like anyway :p

Golly day, if a company in North America asked for a potential employee's photo (even after having met them), I suspect they'd be sued, or threatened with such. People are constantly assuming discrimination here, and that'd only give them more ammo. Maybe I'm wrong; the others might have some thoughts on this :).

yeah, I told them that at the previous interview. They CLAIM it is just that they want to remember the name better... :p

Oh well, if a company says no based on my looks I don't want to work there anyway

BTW, if you think that is bad, Manpower/Xerox in the UK asked us about: Sexual orientation and religion (!)....
I told them they'd end up in court for doing that in Norway.
