Wow! Amazing insight and an amazing read!

You're such a strong woman! I have also been raped and have struggled with PTSD (as a result of the rape) and major anxiety/depression. I am 23 so I am practically triggered just reading that that happened to you at my age! I hope one day I can be an inspiration like you and half as strong. :)

Love ya

Nuns, you're already an inspiration. :) Read my depression thread, if you haven't already. Keep on being your beautiful self. :)

I have struggled with depression and thoughts of suicide since I was 14 and I'm now 40. I take medication and it's not really working anymore. I may lose my job but I won't know until tomorrow. I have been suspended since Friday because of a minor mistake I brought up to my supervisor. I was honest and told the truth. I'm always honest and truthful. I just hope they see it and let me keep it. I know we are supposed to want his will. I'm not good at prayer but I'm trying. I'm trying to pray for others. I'm not doing so well right. I need prayer please. Thank you

I will pray for you man, and you did the right thing and I will pray that you don't get punished for it, but even if you do it says a lot about you that you're honest even when it's inconvenient. Regardless of how it works out God will be there and provide, but still I will pray you don't face hardship and trial over doing what's right.

Heaven is my hope.

I read your story and thank GOD for how he is working in your life. I too have had a very dark and depressing life. I have known the LORD for going on 30 years but this past year and a half have been the darkest so far. I really have no one who will support me because they all expect me to be strong, work hard and buck up. But I have no strength, I find myself crying daily and I do cry out to GOD for relief but none has come. I hold on to the fact that all things work together for good for those who love GOD and are called according to His purpose, not my purpose but His. I do wish I were dead because I would see him face to face. I may never find relief in this life, my hope is in heaven.

Very inspiring story. I've been dealing with those rotten thoughts myself lately but I believe Jesus will come through :)

I have read your initial post, but not the rest.

My issue is I am and feel alone. I spend 96-98% of each week completely alone. I have been single all my life. Not to mention I am overweight and disabled so I have little disposable income.

That is just the "Readers Digest" version.

You can post here all day long if you feel alone. I do that too.

You may get greater responses by creating a thread of your own and sharing more of what you deal with and how you are feeling. Either in Singles or Misc.

My then 27 year old son committed suicide 2 years ago in 3 days.
I deal with it by just not thinking about it much, by accepting that this is a fallen world, by having keeping busy with responsibilities, prayer, and by understanding that God is Lord. I am usually generally stoic about it. But of course, at this time of the year I can get sad. I do sometimes feel I missed it, that I was partly responsible. I know I should not, it was his choice. But it is heart wrenching.

Sometimes our pain is going to be another person(s) breakthrough. But JESUS is coming sooner than we think so that's something to encourage us through the hard times!

Is it wrong to wish that God would end my life? I'm in torment now and don't want it to continue. I have prayed for deliverance in any form.
