" there's a birthday song..... Here in the air..... That's finding it's way.. To a lady so fair..... On such a special day... That belongs just to you...... From friends you adore... To a friend that stays so true... We say happy birthday... With this song in our heart.... Wish you the best... And wish upon a star... That every dream you ever imagined... They all will come true... I'll thank God now and always... We ran into you......." "Because they say it's your birthday... Well happy birthday to you..... They say it's your birthday... Happy birthday to you... Whhooooo... We're gonna have a party party... Let's all have a party party... Whhooo!!" ""........

((thank GOD there's no audio!!))

Ok this is a shameless ploy for cheering up. Hit 44yrs old today and don't know how happy about it I am. Is it time to get out the wrinkle cream? :( A new hairstyle? What do you all do to feel better about getting older?
Happy birthday!! :D I was afraid of getting older too but I feel the same as when I was in my 20's... just a little wiser and umm... heavier.

Awww lol
Kayla you know how the birthday girl usually gets the piece of cake with the rose on it?
I remember at a friend's b day party when I was fourteen.
My friend told her little sister..." Touch the rose piece and I will smack you"
Lol
She was kidding of course
But I never eat the rose slice lol
Never since that party! Lol

Oldest known woman...

If she can make it to July, she'll be 117. She's got quite a few years on us 40-somethings. :)

Happy Birthday kaylagrl! I just recently turned 50 and I just remind myself that I only have 6 more years to go to retire and that makes me feel better about getting older. Lol
Retirement at 56?? That's young enough to still have another career. :p

I know the feeling, well without the heavier part but I spend my entire work day on my feet so that helps. I can still work circles around most of the younger guys on my crew but have earned every grey hair that I have from the school of hard knocks.

Warning: This may not cheer you up.

44 was my weirdest birthday.

A. I was sure I wouldn't live that long, because that's how old Mom was when she died.

B. I did live that long, so

C. It was the year I fell apart/became disabled.

On the other hand, 45 was better.

(You're still a kid. It's 55 when you stop being one, so worry about wrinkles then... if you have to. Of course, worrying about them just gives you worry-wrinkles.)

I will have over 30 years by then and 30 years of service and 56 years old is all I need. :p My wife only has to work 25 years and be 55 years old to retire from the school district - rule of 80. I just hope that our pensions are not drastically cut by then. Look what happened to Greece. I don't want to end up living in a van down by the river.

I'm a virtual clone of my favorite grand father who taught me safety with firearms and took me dove hunting when I was a kid and taught me never to shoot anything that I didn't eat. RIP, daddy Dean. Nope, I'm not handsome, but have God's peace in my life.

Happy Birthday! :D
Another year older, but do you feel another year wiser? ...hehe :p

I'm not too far behind you. I've whipped out the anti wrinkle creams myself. I'm hoping that it'll reduce these lines that have drawn themselves across my forehead and created crows feet next to my eyes. I also just keep telling everyone that I'm 29. :D ...lol

Well I don't feel so bad,my sister is 3 yrs younger than me and she's been using wrinkle cream for years now.lol I think she's paranoid. I told her to stop tanning and she wouldn't need cream. I haven't invested yet but Im thinkin about it. But I kind of feel like its a big scam anyway. They know women want to look good and will buy any goop they put out there.lol Ah well,my hubby loves me as I am so thats good enough. :)
