Love is not getting angry with me for not being able to fix basic stuff in the car.
Love is not being angry that I spent close to $400 to get fixed what I can't fix in the car.
Love is being happy I bought a $700 chair while worrying about how much money we have.
Love is trying to teach me how to set radio stations when he was pretty sure I wouldn't get it anyway. (He was right. I didn't get it.)
Love is worrying about me while he's laid up in bed, unable to simply sit up and knowing a wound is going to be cleaned out today that will cause agonizing pain.
Love is not committing suicide for the only reason he can think of -- I'd be so mortified!
Love is teaching me how to cook dinner, when he haan't eaten in 116 days.

My wife and I dated, and even lived together, for 4 years. We broke up and over the next 8 years went on to have other girl/boyfriends. But as they came and went, we remained friends. One day we found ourselves consoling each other over another set of breakups. That’s when we came to the realization that while passionate love affairs were going to come and go, we were just naturally going to be together till death does us part. That was 12 years ago and we're still good.
