Quote "buddy, I hope you don't take a lot of the examples on this site as examples of Christ or His word. I hope and pray you don't let all the reminders of things you have done wrong in the past, no matter how many they were condemn you and chase you away from repentance that you have expressed 2 times in this thread."
I don't know what thread you read but there was no repentance in it. This person is posting under a new name. You're new,so please dont condemn the rest of us for rebuking this person. If he has hurts he wants to share,he'll get all the support he needs. But to mock God and saying "He craps on you" is 100% unacceptable. He's done this several times here, mocking God. And this is why he is receiving rebuke. Also he is mocking other posters. People have been more than patient with him,yet he keeps it up. If he wants to live like the world,go do it. He wont get Gods blessing. Im very tired of people acting like God is all love and mocking him has no consequences. It does and this person, who isn't even telling the truth about his age, is about to find that out.
Blue is right.
He's apologizing because we did not meet his expectations of us to be rich and famous Christians? That is classic passive-aggressiveness, my friend. To take it as a genuine apology is like pretending to be stupid. It does you no good and it does not change him. It only lets him carry on with his foolish and ignorant ways. That is not love for us to not help set him free. He has to know the truth and the truth will set him free.
I agree with RickyZ there have been times when i'm frustrated with God and said some choice things....but I eventually repented usually in 1hr or so after I cooled down....Being angry with God is pointless and only further delays his promises/blessings in your life....
That being said if Alex is just posting this to troll this site....it's not funny, we are here to help, listen, and support people who need it and trolling like that is just wasting time and valuable resources to help those who are truly in need and are posting in other threads...
I hope your intentions are right Alex, if so disregard my statement above about trolling...your post sounded a little standoffish towards God. I've been there, it is hard as hell to hold onto God during continuous difficult times and when it seems like everyone else is getting blessed and you've been pushed to the curb so to speak...I'm still waiting for some things from God but the hardest thing is patience....Stay in the word and pray even if you don't read every day remember to pray it is essential and at least you know God is hearing your words and making your request known to God....Hold onto God!
Well regardless if he was genuine or not I still tried to reach him and even though he hasn't been on in over twelve hours something seemed to spark in him when I messaged him
I don't play nice with narcissists like Alex and I won't sit idly by as you attempt to scorn wonderful brothers and sisters of Christ on this site. Perhaps you have a more gentle spirit of understanding than some, and if that's the case may we all rejoice for you, but remember this, other brethren have gifts equal to yours, and sometimes those gifts include sharing tough love when necessary, and that in no way discredits anyone's example of Christ and His Word. Got it?
we should probably all restrain ourselves to that sort of talk.
i'm glad you're not into that Dollar guy or anything -- but you shouldn't be about that $ either. don't even worry about it. none of those things satisfy; they're imitations of real blessings.
i'm not saying God doesn't bless people with material wealth, or that He can't use it, or that it's not in His hand to do so - but real blessings in life are patience, peace in your heart, honor, wisdom, genuine affection.
no amount of 'stuff' or money purchases that. they're found when we stop chasing after material wealth altogether, and run after God.
godliness with contentment is great gain
(1 Timothy 6:6)
contentment. that's what you really want. but
whoever loves money never has enough
(Ecclesiastes 5:10)
those two desires are at odds with each other. this is why you can't serve God and $$$$ -- but learning to be content with little is worth more than any amount of money. praise God if He is teaching you that! i grew up poor, and i thank Him for it; He brought me up caring about and respecting the right things, about wisdom and real treasure, not about 'stuff' or 'vanity' -- thank God for adversity!! through it He builds up our hearts and minds.

(I'm wondering if Chanch and jason have met many nonbelievers. I can't help but think, in my family, if happiness/blessedness is riches, than the nonbelievers have been blessed beyond even Funriders/Alexander's wildest dreams. They have great jobs they love, wonderful families, houses big enough for 2-15 families to comfortably live in, and even the dogs and pool. God HAS blessed them, and yet they don't want to know him.)
I didn't really do anything special and if anyone is going to shine it isn't going to be. It's not my light that people need to see.Blaine you have responded appropriately in this matter, I hope in Christ that you never lose the good and responsive Heart the Lord is working in You, you shine indeed. God bless you

Not anywhere in the bible does God ask us to defend him.. He does command us to love our neighbour as ourself xx
Every person has his gift of exhortation. You do your loving, don't stop people from teaching him.![]()
I do get it , its a poor example of a Christian to refuse to forgive someone who asks 2 times. its not wrong to point out a clear teaching of Jesus Christ to a group who is neglecting to follow it. if you guys feel condemned or convicted about what I said, maybe theres more to that than I'm condemning anyone, maybe I spoke the truth according to Gods word about forgiveness and you feel attacked or condemned? not really sure how Christians refuse to forgive and when its pointed out, they still argue it, when Jesus teachings are pretty clear regarding forgiveness. I haven't condemned anyone, but as you say tough Love. the difference is my "tough Love" is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus who commands forgiveness from His followers who have been forgiven. that being said......I am nothing, less than anyone else, I'm no ones teacher, I have no authority over youm them or anyone else. if someone is agreeing with Jesus teachings, they have a good valid point, doesn't matter their name, how others perceive them...Jesus matters.
God bless you
This is most definitely not gonna teach him a thing x
wow.. i never thought of it that way lol. I don't want to seem as if I don't appreciate your compliment it actually is encouraging and helps me to know my heart heart is on the right path if people see him in me like and they express that. It's just i am not used to compliments like that and I also fear of letting it go to my head and so while I think it is appropriate I kind of deflect it and aim at him but at the same time I feel as if he wants me to embrace it even if a little because in both mine and his eyes this is a team effort he and I do everything together I never take one step unless he does first.actually when you are displaying the light of Christ, you are the light of the world. but ill refrain from any further commendation towards you understanding How you feel, God bless you
I didn't get past your second sentence. You think his OP is an apology? Seriously?
Its like a murderer saying, "Yeah, I did it. And?"
Just skimming through this thread and I'm feeling two things about this; First, if this guy IS being totally insincere and sarcastic like many here seem to think, then why engage him at all and lower yourself to his level? Just ignore him, don't comment in his thread, and forget about it, whilst continuing to pray for him. On the other hand, if this post contains any truth at all, then it's really a cry for help of sorts, even if it is offensive to some, in which case the OP needs prayer and support, not ridicule and insults. Either way, being a little more Christian would help everyone, in general.
