I've been noticing by way of doing something that a whole ton of life seems to be made up of complaints, all the way from "my back hurts" in a conversational tone, to "Why God, why did You take this person away?" uttered in tones of deepest agony. Hey! I'm gonna be the last to condemn you for a sore back because I have a back too and sometimes it makes life miserable. :D Anyway, my point in this thread was to have a place where people could focus on God and what he's done for us, and really be thankful for the big or little things of life; because sometimes that's hard.

I'm going to start off with a big thing...I am unutterably thankful for my LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, for dying on the cross and bearing Hell for me. I am thankful for His Father, who sent Him to earth, and poured out His wrath on His loving Son Whom He so hated to hurt. I am thankful for The Spirit that lives in me today, and helps me every second. In short right now I feel very, very thankful for God and His providence. Thank you, God!

I'm thankful that I live in country where (, although there are people who wish otherwise,) I can still freely practice and proclaim my faith, not fearing torture, jail or death.

Thankful grateful appreciated there is no word in the human language that could ever come close to my thankfulness to him.
I have had many many troubles pain sorrow just from when I first accepted him three years ago, but it always in those times when I was in pain when I was all alone when no one care about me or understood me that he was always there. I could go to him in my tears in my pain and he would always wrap him arms around me, I would go to him in my sin in my weakness thinking myself as filth as trash as a worm deserving of hell fire and all he would do would comfort me would encourage me would lift me up help em to stand help me to stay strong and keep going.

He also has beyond beyond generous in his giving, not just all he has given me in this life but the amount of him of his heart of the deep and hidden secrets of his of his kingdom who he is was beyond generous I grew in love i grew as a believer and he and I developed a very deep and very intimate love together at an amazingly fast pace. I never expected that he certainly isn't what I expected and isn't who I expected, with all of this I can praise him and thank him for all eternity I can serve him and try to repay my debt to him for all eternity and never could I even begin to fulfill it.

And yet even with all of this something tells me he has much more he wants to show me to teach me to reveal and give to me.

I'm amazingly thankful for the beautiful weather that we've had here, and the sap flow heralding spring. :)

So thankful for friends. I have awesome ones. Still bringing me homemade soups, taking me out for lunch and dinner, and always available for anywhere I might want to go. Even a week at the beach.

The loss of my husband takes getting used to. I thought all the attention would end after a few months, but no, not a bit.

I should also add the friendship of Christ that I feel even more keenly now. Without his presence, there really would be a great emptiness.

I, God knows, am always delighted and thankful for butterflies, birds, rainbows and flowers, always. I am thankful there is always something to be thankful for, always. Nice thread topic.

Other than that, thank You Lord for Your great great great patience. Lol. He is ever so patient with me that I will never understand the depth of it. I do know now why 1 Cor 13 starts with "Love is patient..."

Aww, thanks. It really shows an amazing Christian spirit to be able to thank God for your problems, and to remember that they really are there to make us stronger! Thanks for the reminder :)

Thank you God for sending the enemy and spiritually afflict me so that i can understand the cross, and thank you for keeping me humble for i worry when on that cross, thank you that i now understand that if i ever turn once to the enemy big or small and have hate then i now know that i too want to be as like Jesus and not come to destroy with hate but complete with life in love, for i do not wish to ever feel the Lord in His agony ever turned His face to wrath for it states that He bore our sins in His body on a tree, 1 Peter 2-24, and it also says Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree, Galatians 3-13. Thank you God that i too am cursed as everyone who is hung on a tree thru your Son is, so that we might understand that when Your Son cried out "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" representing that Your goodness was taken away and yet the Lord remained the same and it was then at death, He proved so by saying "Father into Your Hands I commit My Spirit." So thank you Father that i remain the same and thank you Lord Jesus that you will never forsake me.... Amen

I'm thankful for the rain that is falling; I'm guilty of complaining about the rain, but today it struck me in a new way what a great provision it is for us...thanks for the rain Lord, and thanks for taking the time to help me think it's beautiful.
