I am a pepper belly, yes, love Mexican more than Indian food, though. I like sweet & spicy too, like general's tso's chicken. I make the best salsa and hot mix, it is freak'n hurt'cha HOT! I also make the best spicy garlic pickles in the universe.

Is Mild Salsa spicy??? Then YES!!!! Otherwise this girls tummy can't take the spice!
No, no. Moderate salsa isn't even spicy (unless you eat the whole container by yourself in around 30mins - then there may be a little zing).

It's spicy to me. You're talking to a DUTCH girl raised on bland meat and potatoes. I cook spicy for friends and stick to my bland. I think it is awesome anyone who has the mouth and stomach to handle it. I cannot!!!!

I enjoy Americanized Mexican food or mild/med. Salsas as long as I don't have to drive anywhere after I eat them...I think my answer is "no" lol.

In my old age I've come to enjoy cayenne pepper on my rice. I like the way El Pollo Loco spices up their pinto beans.

Growing up spices we had were mostly salt and pepper. but there were a few spice bottles used for baking cookies like nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom. at the time i thought spices were just for that, baking cookies! i did not know-- or understand-- or cared that a classmate from india liked curry or spicy foods because my spice knowledge was so limited.
But speaking of spicy food i discovered a ginger candy recipe wc i have tried this week. I am posting in the Recipes thread, ok.

Fair enough, Jeni! I have Germanic ancestry a very long way back (but my ancestors came to South Australia back in 1839). But there's not a lot of good German food.

I like a little flavor in my food but I don't like it hot. There is a point where it's like all you can taste is the spice and I don't like that.
