I don't know... haven't found scripture that specifically says so or not. But it's an interesting thought.
Matthew 22:30"For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Evidently angels don't marry. Looking forward to wings though....

Darlene, we won't have wings. We'll stay human but have resurrected, glorified new bodies.

So you are saying angels don't have wings? Says we will be like the angels.

The Bible mentions angels many times. Sometimes they have wings, sometimes they don't. But the context of the verse from Matthew is clear. Just as angels in Heaven arent married, we won't be married or be given in marriage.

i disagree I believe if we want wings in heaven we will have them, as for us not being given into marriage that is not so. I got to see a glimpse of the wedding of the lamb a long time ago and I have intention of missing it.

I only got to see a glimpse of it but what i saw and felt impacted so deeply that for three whole days I still was in astonishment of what I saw and experienced.

They say God created man and then rested. Then He created woman, and no one's rested since ;)

I know it's a joke, but it's still not accurate. God made man and then shortly after that, He made woman. He made both man and woman on the sixth day. God then rested on the seventh day of Creation Week.

Maybe you can lighten up a bit. It can get frustrating pointing out what's in inaccurate from everyone's post. :)

And I'm only saying this cause I wanted to hear from other people. I thought it's an interesting subject.

Hello.

[SUP]30 [/SUP]For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

This particular resurrection, has a vocation in the "kingdom of Heaven" which is within the "kingdom of God", but located in the realm of the "kingdom of His dear Son." This verse is speaking of the "first resurrection" at the "second coming", not the "appearing of Christ" for the catching away of the "one new man"

They neither marry or are given in marriage, because they are all men. They are as angels in heaven, in that, they serve, praise and worship God always.

Fair enough. But I still think it's important not to entertain weird/dangerous ideas like people having wings and being married and not being male or female in Heaven. Seems to me like some people here need to read the Bible. I'll shut up now.

What makes us uniquely male and female is our ability to each do our part in the procreation process here on earth. And there is no talk of procreation when we are with Jesus. So I am not sure there be a need for those girl parts that make men notice and the boy parts that make a girl turn her head? :eek:

Just pondering....throwing it out for someone to chew on. :rolleyes:

[SUP]28 [/SUP]Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
[SUP]30 [/SUP]That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Interesting this thread, because today as I was driving home from work, I was thinking, and my thoughts went to this statement made a few years ago on a discussion board like this, a man said, the city New Jerusalem was to big to fit on Earth. Then a couple years later, I heard someone say how the city would come down out of heaven, but remain above Earth in the "heavenly places." The city is for a kingdom of priests, which will be above where the throne of David will be on Earth, God will occupy this throne and angels will ascend from it to the other kingdom dominions in Heaven.

Some scripture;

Correct. She behaved one day and they had rest for one day.

I think the answer lies in the scripture where Jesus says that we must become like little children in order to enter the kingdom of heaven...

Little children don't get married. If they feel a strong connection with a child of the opposite sex, there is no physical attraction, no desire for commitment. It's a pure spiritual kind of attraction. They don't feel a need to get married because the wonderful connection they feel is all they need... just pure friendship and love...

And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

I have no idea what we will be, what I know is, our gender won't matter

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
