You're right. Especially due to the fact when HeRose is losing, he puts those who are beating him on ignore. He won't answer the really tough questions, and he attacks others while playing the victim himself.
We should all back off and just pray for him. Either God will change him, or He will turn him over and allow his hard heart to get darker.

If someone thinks that being led to read a little gnostic doctrine will lead a sealed Christian away from Christ they are quite mistaken. Nothing will snatch them out of the Fathers hand.

Yes and no. Him trying to constrain gnosticism within the bounds he delineated shows how much he doesn't know. Those who claim that gnosticism was a uniform, monolithic doctrine simply don't know what they're talking about.
Sometimes we need to go out and find a quiet place, away from the crowds, and talk to our Father. When all looks useless, that's our cue.
In running our race, we need to keep refreshed and make sure we don't become dehydrated.

I think we have to learn not to get so upset. As scripture says, vengeance is mine sayeth the lord (there is some king jimmy for ya) and just respond with truth of Gods word
I know it is hard, believe you me..

Yes we do. I had a great weekend of doing that. It is so wonderful when we get perspective.
I also know. Someone we enable people by just responding to them. sometimes quiet is what they need also.. Just like we ourselves need.
I don't know where you get the idea that I'm defending gnosticism. I think it's pretty evident from my posts that I am trying to point out the similarities between what Christian gnostics during the early church period believed and what some (many?) Christians believe today. I am against both.

The Bible states amazing things about the Word of God. It is what brings faith... faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. When we use God's Word in a conversation or when we witness of Jesus Christ., that is what brings people to the truth. Not our words but His Word.
In Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, by both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Knowing the Bible, talking about the Bible and memorizing the Bible is major for all believers. Saying the words of the Bible is not witchcraft.,is not "magical. Good heavens!!! What we say shows what is in our hearts....from the abundance of the heart a man speaks....(just read that here on the thread)
God is bound by His Word. If God said He would do something than we can count on that 100%. God binds Himself to His Word and we must do the same. If someone tries to misrepresent Jesus, we have God's Word to show us the truth and we can refute any lie. When the enemy seeks to condemn us as believers we have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to show us the truth of God's love. So we have to KNOW the word in our hearts and apply it each day.
I can't tell you how many times a verse will pop up in my mind at the exact right time in a conversation that cements a truth to my heart. That is the Holy Spirit using the Word of God to teach. Whether it be about my own behavior or someone else's words, the Holy Spirit brings to mind the Word. The 2 go hand in hand. One does not go contrary to the other. What a plan!
P.S. The Bible also talks about the tongue and how it is a small member but has a lot of power to destroy or to build up. Our words matter. God's Words matter more.

It is a chance to clearly lay out what we individually believe so others have a baseline to know where you are coming from. Blessings EG, Amen it is freeing to have chains broken that kept us from seeing. If fear is involved than something is not right. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of POWER and LOVE and A SOUND MIND. We do not have to fear any more.
