as if you have some divine gift for recognizing evil. Am I evil Rachel? Lol
a christian doesn't need a 'divine gift' to recognize evil...are you even serious?

Is this like comedy hour or something? I feel like I'm trapped in someones God complex.
you confuse having moral standards with having a God complex...are you even serious?

Answer the question....Am I evil?
i think you need to step back and see what a shaky limb you're going out on...

you've insinuated that it takes some kind of 'divine gift' to recognize evil...

any serious and objective christian would find this to be totally in error...

ummmm actually if you really think about it it is a "divine ability" / consequence that we all have the divine gift (as you call it) to recognize evil its in our nature maybe not the way your expecting it to mean divine but if you want to get technical and biblical our nature is the product of a divine decree due to our divine created free will. Because someone nibbled on a piece of fruit from a divine tree...and im sure eve shook that divine "shaky limb" to pluck that divine piece of fruit....I digress....

I see your point and that's why I'm not totally against it. But demanding Mexico to pay for it.. Not going to happen. Just going to start more conflict. And, perhaps the better word would be 'prejudice' against illegal immigrants. Yes, they are here illegally, but that doesn't mean one can blame them for rapes, crime, and drugs. See where I'm coming from?
I believe our own government is bringing in the drugs as an excuse for a stronger police force. The prison industrial complex in this country is a huge business..... anyway it's a similar tactic to the war Hitler blamed the Jews for all the problems in Germany. Trumps entire campaign is based on hate and fear mongering

I think a forum needs to be created to have CC arguments so threads won't be so badly derailed. Maybe a
mod and the arguers can go to some private part of CC and just throw cyber punches or something? I mean, I argue a lot but my word....

Maybe CC could fix us a "Go To Your Corner" thread? Might could be useful...or the real serious "Go Get Me A Switch, Now!" thread for the CC rascals:p

All of these suggestions have merit and are worth consideration.

Woah!

My views:

Theology: Trinitarian, Nicene/Constanopolitan/Filioque, Athanasian
Christology: Dyophysite/Chalcedonian, Dyothelite, Hypostatic Union
Pneumatology: Tentative Cessationist
Soteriology: Lutheran
Ecclesiology: Invisible Church, Priesthood of All Believers, Orderly Church Government, Orderly Worship
Eschatology: Historicist, Amillennialist, Idealist leanings
Cosmology: Young Earth Creationist
I don't know what half (or more) of these words mean!

I like to refer to it as the "us four and no more" doctrine. :p
Woah! Thanks for saying that phrase. I found this article as a result!

Us Four and No More | Just Marinating | A blog by Pastor Derwin L. Gray

"It appeared to us that growing in one’s faith was more concerned with guarding one’s family and self-preservation than in becoming missionaries. Some of the studies felt like an “us-four-and-no-more” club."

What an awesome realization and challenge!

I know that for me I take issue when someone places their stake in the moral high ground concerning politics or religion and stereotypes and throws stones at people for daring to see things another way. In my book it's called emotional tyranny and it has no place in the discussion of ideas in the Christian arena. Looks a lot like how the world argues with itself in my opinion.
