-The sky rains fire.

-Something like a Zombie Apocalypse actually happens... (doubtful, but still unsurprising if at all plausible)

-We invent/progress toward: space travel, automail (biomechanics), dive technology (neurological electronics), possible underwater/lunar colonization, limited teleportation (in theory), and the move to inventoried, digital systems for civilization (examples of this would be something like those medical chips they're putting in babies and elderly people...makes you easy to track)

McDonald's files for bankruptcy (the incompetent service I've gotten there lately is just ridiculous)

Walmart files for bankruptcy (they don't give a hoot about their employee's working conditions and it shows...)

Microsoft forces all of its users to upgrade to the latest windows version (Oh wait - that's already happening!!) :p

Twinkies are the future. They will survive the inevitable nuclear fallout and war against the ancient cockroach in the aftermath of humanity's (or lack thereof) fierce pursuit of order.

I'm wondering if the parachute pants are back. I was on a site where people sell things they make and there were a lot of them on there.
