...Why don't people just walk their kids into public bathrooms like responsible parents. Why do parents feel that kids are safe just because adults of the same gender are in the bathroom with them? People need to stop relying on government policy and start thinking and doing for themselves and each other. The government will never cater to us as Christians again (ever). It's time Christians embraced independence from the government instead of hoping the "right republican candidate" will get into office and set everything back to 1950.

Its a respectful request. Target cannot over ride the state law that permits open carry.

They may not be able to "over ride" the law, but they can have persons who do not follow their "respectful request" forcibly removed from the premises.

Target's policy essentially means there are NO male or female restrooms since a man can claim to feel like a woman that day and go in the ladies room while even young girls are in there.

I'm not an activist by any means, but here are my viewpoints on this issue:

Separate transgender bathrooms - sure, if you want. I definitely don't think this should be required of businesses by law. But if it's their choice, have at it.

I don't agree with a law requiring people to go to bathrooms associated with the sex they were born with. I would prefer if you walk, talk, look, and act like a man go to the mans bathroom. If you walk, talk, look, and act like a woman go to the womans bathroom.

I don't see where the safety of little girls is an issue here. For one thing, very young children don't go into public bathrooms without a parent present - I would hope. Also, in girls bathrooms there are separate stalls, there isn't the urinal situation as in the mens bathrooms. So there isn't the open exposure issue - we are doing our thing in the privacy of a closed stall.

I think I'm gonna go to perkins for lunch today and tell my waitress that I am identifying as a 67 year old handicapped special needs war veteran. In fact, I think I'm gonna do that wherever discounts are given for such things. Lol. I wonder if I can get license plates that say veteran and a handicap sign to hang on my mirror so I can park in the handicap spot at wal mart.

I really oughta get any tax benefits that come with being a handicapped, special needs war veteran. Because that is what I feel like on the inside. I always stand in the bathroom with my son in a public place. That is just common sense in a world full of predators.

They are in our restrooms anyway. Expecting the govt to protect you from that is foolish. Expecting the govt to enforce the border is the law.
