The eunuch was reading Isaiah is there any mention of water baptism there? No. Phillip preached Christ and Him Crucified and after he got saved he requested to be baptized in water.

Where did he get the idea that he needed to be baptized?

But God is a God of the living and not the dead, He is the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob is He not?

This is true but these men died many years before the New covenant became a reality. Baptism is a commandment connected to the new covenant.

From Phillip and you still have not answered my question. Do you take a bucket of water to the hospital? Is the cross of Christ good enough or is there another work we must do such as baptism?

Well I guess the thief on the cross slipped through. God gave him a pass. Oh and John preached baptism before the cross.

Let us deal with one point at a time. Why do you think Philip would have mentioned water baptism in connection with the gospel that he preached to the Eunuch if it was not an important part of the gospel?

Yes, John preached baptism before the cross. It was baptism for repentance and for the remission of sins. All of this was in preparation of the new covenant for the people of Israel.

But meaningless with out the cross. You are placing emphasis on water baptism and not the cross and adding to what God has done. What good is baptism with out the cross the focus should be on the cross and not water.

Still no answer to my questions

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead

Okay, where was water when they were baptized in the holy spirit. Where was water when Jesus said to the thief on the cross " Today you will be withme in Paradise. Baptism in the bible means in the doctrine and has nothing to do with water. You can read in acts where the apostle came across certain individuals and ask if they had received the Baptism of Jesus and they said no only they baptism of John and they baptized them in the name of Jesus and then they received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. So how many times were they Baptized in water?

You make God proud contending for the faith brother. These water gospel folks take the glory away from Christ and His finished work, putting it on man to find a body of H2O to get dunked. Their reasoning screams, if you can't get to a body of water, you're sure going to miss out on salvafion! Such nonsense and heresy.
