Yes, so I hope ppl can see why I and some other folks have been so animated in our posts lately with so much going on about GOD's love being Conditional?
The 'You-MUST-be water-baptized' or 'You-MUST-be-obedient' to this or that crowd? Implying and in some cases actually telling ppl that they're not saved unless they meet some 'condition'?
It's like God's love isn't as loving as our Pet's love?
But it's been those who have taken a stand for God's grace and love in Jesus that have taken the heat. It's pretty unsettling. But I guess that's their goal. Aahhh...phooey. btw, hi JL and tourist.
To the first part of your post I think I would answer them with So how do explain Jesus acceptance of the thief on the cross?.... Doubt he got water baptized and if he had obeyed don't think he would be hanging on the cross.... Jesus is able to save at the last minute....no matter how your life went...if one reaches out to Jesus with the heart humbled.
Come give us a little kiss to make it all better...My heart is lonely and troubled..
