Mat 13:41 states otherwise.
Matthew 13:41 is part of the Parable of the Wheat and Tares. Pulling one verse of a parable out of context is confusing and you can probably prove any false doctrine by doing so. The parable of the Wheat and Tares has NOTHING to do with Jesus' kingdom during the Church age. Here is the meaning of the parable:
THE PARABLE OF THE WHEAT AND TARES (Matthew 13:24-30,36-43) depicts the rapid spread of error throughout professing Christendom.
Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying,
The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Matthew 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Matthew 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them,
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Matthew 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Matthew 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
As the Gospel has been proclaimed throughout the world, the devil has sown tares in the midst of it.
The kingdom of heaven in its mystery form is all of professing Christendom, lost and saved, apostate and true. It includes the Roman Catholic Church, the Protestant denominations, the cults, as well as the sound apostolic congregations. When Jesus says that the tares must not be rooted out
until the end of the age, He is referring to the fact that
apostasy cannot be destroyed until that time (until the end of the age). The churches are not to put heretics to death or burn down the apostate cathedrals! God will take care of error as far as rooting it out of His kingdom
when Christ returns in power and glory. The field is not the true churches;
"the field is the world" (Matthew 13:38). This parable does not teach that Jesus' kingdom is presently on the earth...nor does it teach that Satan is bound. It teaches just the opposite. Satan is the one sowing the "tares" amongst the wheat...and he is doing that on the earth now.
The teaching that we are presently in the kingdom now, and Jesus ruling this kingdom now, and the teaching that Satan is bound, are all false teachings.
Rev 5 states that Jesus' earthy reign began at The Cross...
Rev 5.9 - 10 And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy are You to receive the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood purchased us to God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign over the earth.
Revelation 5:9-10 takes place in heaven AFTER Church saints are caught up to heaven
(Revelation 4:1). Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, is the only One worthy to break the JUDGMENT SEALS
(Revelation 5:9; 6:1). These Church saints are redeemed from the earth by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ). When Jesus Christ returns to the earth WITH those Church saints at the end of the tribulation (Daniel's 70th week), He will set up His throne in Jerusalem and we (Church saints) will rule and reign with Him for a LITERAL 1,000 years while Satan is bound in the bottomless pit.
Amillennialism is very confusing due to the method of interpretation of Biblical prophecy....especially the way in which Revelation is interpreted. Looks like amillennialists have to do a lot of spiritualizing and allegorizing to make the pieces fit.
