What in the world does that have to do with being born again in Christ and being sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now children of God - one with Him forever Jesus said?

We can find any obscure scripture from the Old Testament to say just about anything but every scripture needs to line up with the known abundant truth in the New Covenant. Jesus changed things!..He really did.

So, that means Jesus wasn't telling us the truth..and forever doesn't really mean forever?..and Paul..my goodness he is constantly telling us lies too I suppose?

I really encourage you to look into the New Covenant and see what our Lord bought with His own blood for us.

CONTEXT, CONTEXT,CONTEXT!!!! We need to look at the "context" of the whole Bible so we don't get the "con" from people like you. :)

the " con" is people like you only quoting verses about judgement and not any about forgiveness. guess we only need part of the Bible, huh?? implying that God is not forgiving, that he is only interested in punishment. that is the con.

This is in the context of forgiveness

Matt.18

[23] Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
[24] And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
[25] But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
[26] The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
[27] Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
[28] But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
[29] And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
[30] And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
[31] So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
[32] Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
[33] Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
[34] And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
[35] So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses
.

Depends on what you are talking about, if the title of the OP is blaspheming the Holy Ghost or deceiving spirits, its likely not going to be a thread with warm fuzzies and happy endings, it depends though.

It's so sad to see people who clutch so tightly to judgement and law when Jesus died to deliver us from those very things.

The law came from Moses but Grace and truth from Jesus Messiah

How tragic that they cannot except this but think they must add thier behavior.......

it dishonors He who washes us in His own blood

That'd be a great theme song for OSAS threads. Thus saith Mister Rogers! You can never go down the drain!

Are we rolling? A one, a two, a three, a four.

A mother was washing her baby one night; The youngest of ten and a delicate mite.

The mother was poor and the baby was thin;'Twas naught but a skeleton covered with skin.

The mother turned 'round for a soap off the rack. She was only a moment but when she got back

Her baby had gone, and in anguish she cried,"Oh,where has my baby gone?" The angels replied

Oh, your baby has gone down the plug hole.
Oh, your baby has gone down the plug.
The poor little thing was so skinny and thin,
He should have been washed in a jug, in a jug.

Your baby is perfectly happy; He won't need a bath anymore.
He's a-muckin' about with the angels above,
Not lost but gone before.

Do you want to do it again?

And I just did a search for the words, "mercy, merciful, compassion, forgive, forgiven and forgiven" in the context InSpirit is posting on in 1 Tim 4:1 and there are none of those in that context, its hard to find fault with him for not bringing it up.

Although I didnt find much in 1 Tim (altogether) actually, save three times the word "mercy". Once in the greeting to Tim in 1 Tim1:2 saying, " Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord". And Pauls mention of obtaining mercy in 1Tim 1:13 and once more in the same context he is speaking on in 13 in 1 Tim 1:16. Whereas these seducing spirits (OP title) 3 chapters later in 1 Tim 4:1. So I dont believe its his intent not to mention any of the above but it wasnt in the context of seducing spirits there. Unless its in the same context (of seducing) as he was comparing elsewhere.

Moooore verses about falling and looking back....??

When reading your posts., these are the thoughts I come away with as the words are in red and bolded
from bottom to top as they draw me into your message.

commiteth sin

except thou repent,
beware,
die,
led away,

of the wicked,
fall from,

wife looked back,

Lot's wife,
looks back shall lose his life,

Missed a few words and went back., but the message you give is depressing and hopeless and I don't see Jesus in it.
Do you have any good news to report to the world or those who read your posts about what Jesus has saved them from?., or is it only what we are to be fearful of even in the face of Jesus who has promised that He is the One who died to save us and to keep us? Do you have any words of confidence in Christ that we can lean on? What is your message to a dying world???? (death and dying?) die and to die? Did Jesus not already die?

What is the "Good news" of the Gospel of grace and truth in your estimation? Did God so love the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should not perish but HAVE ever lasting life??? life life life life life no more death., "Where shall we go Lord, you have the words of LIFE" the words of LIFE LIFE LIFE. (I just have to counter your post and the word die)

Jesus is the One who brings life and that more abundantly. God loves us and sent His Son.

"Behold what manner of Love the Father has given unto us., behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us...
that.... we.... should become the sons of God.,
that..... we..... should become the sons of God.....
:D

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ladylynn again.

Wow! What awesome insight into the truth of the Bible. And the sadness of those who somehow are not able to trust that what God has started in the lives of those who believe, he will complete!

Thanks again for posting this, and really showing how people are truly missing the gospel. (Never saying that we are not to repent and confess our sins, but always keeping in mind that God is leading and guiding us, and he will keep us, because he is the one who has saved us!

As for the multiple "die" I assumed it was a literary device know as "hyperbole" or "exaggeration for the sake of effect."

She seemed to be appalled at first, as to what the words that were highlighted triggered in her.

Then she remembered the truth of the gospel, and was grateful for LIFE that we have in Christ Jesus.

As for those who think they are God's prophets, called to tell Christians to repent, would it not be better to preach the need for repentance and salvation to non-Christians, so that they might hear the word of God and be saved?

Perhaps an atheist, or Muslim forum might be a better possibility? I am quite sure you would find lots of "doctrines of demons" in those places, that really could not be argued against.

Just a thought!

Sometimes I prefer the exageration effect

Heb 12:9 Furthermore
we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and LIVEEEEEEEEE?

Prov 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall NOT DIEEEEEEEEE.

1Cr 11:32 But when we **are judged**,we **are chastened of** the Lord, that we should not be ***CONDEMNEDDDDDDDD with the world***
