This one I can completely relate to, that is one that has repeated itself to my face since I first come to Christ, you do not question someone who has told you that they are anointed (and have made you their underling in their own mind). Such as if you dont believe them by their own word (concerning themselves) because you question them concerning something you are cast out of their presence.
Question God all you like in their presence (His words, or what God might mean) but dont question them (in their interpetation by their pristine use of the word) in their self professed anointed teacher status because to not agree with them (even in the smallest of matters) makes you anti "anointed" (or as anti christ, but really meaning "anti them") the place they desire to occupy.
Theres alot of those, the first anointed of God who kicked me out of his church for telling an unemployed single mom she should not worry about giving anything to him.
I differed with that anointed in that time and was cast out, they love the preeminence it seems. For others to look to them, to be above, but when the rubber meets the road they could care less about you as the flock of God.
Well, I have issues with some of them, if its not money its ego, most of them have a huge one.
Act 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
God said when they tell you the word of God,do not take their word for it,but search the scriptures to see if it is true.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
The Spirit will teach the saints, although the preacher is important.
1Ti 3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre.
Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre.
The preacher is not to be in the ministry for the money.
1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
Act 20:33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
Act 20:34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
2Co 8:13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
2Co 8:14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
2Co 8:15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
God wants the saints to be on an equal level, and the preacher does not receive more than any other saint, and Paul only went by his needs.
1Ti 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
Some preachers get lifted up in pride, and fall to the same condemnation of the devil, which this is talking about a preacher that is not that experienced, but can apply to all preachers who get lifted up in pride, and think they are above the congregation.
The truth is the Spirit will teach the saints, and when the preacher speaks we are to search the Bible,to see if it is true, and they do not get blessed any more than any other saint, and if they think they are above the congregation, they fall in to the same condemnation of the devil, and they are not to be in the ministry for the money, and have to abide as all saints do,having food, and clothing,be content, and some do not care about the flock like they should, which God said they are greedy dogs, which can never have enough.
There is too many preachers that do not hold the office of a preacher rightly, and a lot do not care like they should, that think they are above other people, and might think do not touch God's anointed, but God looks at it differently, and said question them if you think they are wrong, and do not take their word for it,but search the scriptures to see if they are right, and they are no better than any saint of God,and if they think that then they fall in to the condemnation of the devil, that might think God is blessing them more than the congregation, but the Bible says they are not to be in the ministry for the money, for personal use,as some do,because this is God's money, which is to help people, like the early Church, and food, and clothing, yes, personal use,no.
The truth is with that information, especially when the Bible says we need not any man teach us,but the Spirit will teach us,and the Spirit is available to all who want the Spirit, and God said he gives to all people concerning wisdom liberally, and upbraids not,so the congregation can know just as much as the preacher when it comes to the word of God.
I think if someone says God's anointed, that it would apply to all the saints that are led of the Spirit, for God put them all on an equal level, and the Spirit working in them.It is not like the Old Testament where certain individuals had a status above other people, like Elijah,or Moses,or king David, etc.,but in the New Testament with all saints having the Spirit, and on an equal level, the preacher no better, all the saints are anointed.
