Because that is not what the scholarship shows.
Truth is uncovered by a constant analysis. Otherwise the truth becomes stagnant and a blind ritual.
I don't pay attention to so-called scholars. I pay attention to what the word of God says, which is where the source of all truth is.

Jesus will round up Satan and his servants, Jesus will remove him from this world. None of you will or can. You are to know Jesus and Love, not pretend to speak for him nor pretend to be soldiers. Know what sin is. Sin is standing on a lie and believing it to be true. None of you are right, God is, and you are not speaking for God nor are any of you Gods judges. To know God is to serve God. To know God is the only way to salvation. Listening to a man of Satan, which is any man or woman who thinks they can make Satan's world righteous even by a single grain, is a servant of Satan, not of God. Only God can do so, for only God, and what is with God, is righteous, and all those outside of God are unrighteous. Know your master is not Almighty, you are warriors of Satan. These truths are Gods truths. This is Love. Giving you these truths given by Jesus is Love.

God is Love, nothing else. God does not change, cannot change, God can only do what God will do, for he is God. I do not need the Bible nor have a read the bible or learned anything from it. Spirit of truth, God, Jesus are my teachers, these are not my words but theirs.

Follow Jesus' words or not. Your choice. Jesus says to love. Deny thyself, deny your world, because you are wrong, you don't know him or the father, you don't know sin, judgement or a single truth, only lies, and that truth comes from God, not between your own ears, That is Satan between your ears. God is Love, true worshippers know God in the spirit, in truth, and that's all God seeks and will know. You have to deny your lies, yourself, your thoughts, not Jesus. Jesus' words. Follow your own or follow Jesus. Your choice. I love you.
You are correct in that we should love all people as our selves, but that does not mean that we are to compromise on God's word. All I have been quoting to you are the word of God. And yes, you do need to read God's word or you cannot know what he has to say on any given subject nor can you know Him.

Truth does not leave God, it stays with him. To know a truth is to know God. To know God is to know he is Love. To know Love is to be in the spirit and in truth. It is to have your hand in Jesus and be on your path. It is to know Gods kingdom here on earth is now and to know your temple is Gods and a part of that kingdom.

Do not let Satan tell you or anyone else they know a single truth outside of what had just been written. This is Gods truth. These are Jesus' words, not mine. My temple is no longer mine, it belongs to God. Gods kingdom is here on earth, this temple is the first one from this world to part of Gods kingdom here on earth. It I'd no longer part of Satan's kingdom, it is part of Gods kingdom. One temple at a time, it has begun.

The word "arsenokoités " is translated as "men who have sex with men." The definition is "sodomite." As believers in Christ we cannot support nor condone this life style. It is detestable to the Lord.

Alas, it is that common a Greek word. If Paul had wished to condemn the equivalent of what we see as homosexual relationships, there were already words in use for it in Greek: "eros" and "erostai", the lover and the beloved. The fact that he didn't is indicative that he probably didn't mean that. Also, arsenokotai (a word which is an uncommon wordin Greek) is always paired with malakos, also known as catamite, which were either boy slaves or boy prostitutes. The fact that Paul uses this as a bridge between sexual and economic sin would indicate that what is being condemned is not a loving relationship between people of the same gender and similar social standing, but something more akin to child prostituition. This lines up with the other few mentions of arsenokotai in other Greek sources, where it is used in context of kidnappers or blackmail.
The term does not mean what you believe it means.

So you read it in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and/or Greek then?

I do not read the Bible and I have only glanced at it to show people what God has shown me for months now.

I receive Gods word from God, why do I need the bible? Know Jesus as I do. Every truth perfectly marries every other truth and I have been shown so many truth by God, By Jesus, by the spirit of truth.

They are my teachers, the bible is not.

I read a lot of the different translations and look at the Interlinear, as well as the Hebrew and Greek words. For the most part, we have the word that God wanted to convey to us.

Paul was a man of the flesh, not of the spirit, not taught by God. He speaks of the flesh for the flesh, not Jesus or the father. Paul had Satan firmly within him. Allowed by God to be A servant of Satan. Given the keys to heaven but did not choose to use them and be with God. Not yet anyways, that is up to his branch, the church, to decide. Will they follow Jesus and Jesus commands now or will they remain servants of the flesh and follow flesh, follow Satan.

Yeah, well God's word tells us that He wants us to read and search out His word.

"Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness,"

In order to be able to do the above, we must read the written word of God. Paul commended the Bereans because they checked the scriptures daily to see if what Paul was saying was the truth. No wonder you don't adhere to scripture, according to you, you don't read it. Consider the following regarding God's desire for us to read His word:

"Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near."

How could you read the words of the book of Revelation aloud unless you actually read the words? The Bible is the written word of God

And now our conversation is officially over. Paul was an apostle selected by God the Father as an apostle to Jesus Christ. He received revelations and visions directly from the Lord. Regarding Paul scripture says the following:

"Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction."

Notice that Peter referred to Paul's letters as wisdom from God and as scripture. Since you are the same as those ignorant and unstable people, you come under the same condemnation as they if you continue in that attitude. For if you reject what Paul has to say, then you reject the Lord. For the words that Paul spoke are the words of the Lord.

"'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy." --Ezekiel 16:49

Thats rather cherry picking. We know what happened in Sodom. Either way the Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is wrong and an abomination. You cannot be pro-gay and a Christian, period.

There is no Hell as you would think it so.. Do you love anyone? Would you make a place like Hell to torment and torture them for all eternity? Perhaps for your children? God will not, can not and did not either, for God is God and God will only do what God does, Love.

I Love you, I do not have enemies, how can I? I am a true worshipper of God. I am an advocate for Jesus, the comforter, the helper, the counselor. I love you, you are not my enemy, I do not have any.

One cannot be anything other that with God, taken their by Jesus, in order to enter into the kingdom of God. Your judgement is your sin, your words are your own, not Gods. When God gives his word all who hear will follow, for it is impossible to know god ajd not serve god, so your battle cry is not required but you are free to state and claim whatever it is you wish.

For those if you who wish to think you speak for God, know that you do not. For those that here your words, please know that God is Love and his words will move you with Love, in truth, and then you will know and with love, you will make your own decision on what is right and what is wrong, and that will be all that happens. Their is no hell for you, only Love.
Yes,God is love, but He is also perfect and Holy. He is also the perfect judge. The Bible also speaks of His wrath and His righteous judgement. To say God is only "all" love is a false doctrine.

In citing this passage in Leviticus it is important to be aware of the original language used. The word that gets translated as abomination (toevah) indicates a cultic violation not a moral one. For example, eating shellfish is also "toevah". It is not a moral sin. If the writers of Leviticus had intended for it to be describing something immoral they would have used the word "zimmah", which refers to something that is wrong in and of itself, i.e. sin.

Leviticus does not say that being gay is wrong or is a sin. Rather that it a ritual violation, just like eating shellfish and mixing fibers. If you will notice the condemnations of same-sex acts almost always follows prohibition of idolatry. Most same-sex couples that I know do what they do as an expression of love, not to worship an ancient half-man, half bull god.

If it was not a moral sin why did it bear a death penalty? No,its a moral sin.

No it does not. What is condemned in the Bible is not a gay relational model, but a homosexual act done under a pretty specific context, i.e. idolatry.

One can be supportive of loving gay relationships and still be Christian.

Yes, it does. God condemns homosexuality as well as idolatry. One cannot be supportive of ''loving'' homosexual relationships and still be a Christian. Let us look at what Jesus says is marriage and not the world's definition of it or Matthew Vines' definition or others of the ''gay'' theology movement.

Matthew 19:4-6
Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Mark 10:6-9
But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Genesis 2:18
,20b-24
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”...But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

What you are doing Bonaventure is cherry picking, it fits that definition as for that verse in Ezekiel 16:49, you need to read it in context and not just that verse.

Ezekiel 16:49-50
Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

This passage is referring to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by God for their homosexuality as well as their other sins, but especially homosexuality as clearly outlined in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Genesis 19:4-11
Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

“Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.

But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

Judges 19:22-28
While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, “Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him.”

The owner of the house went outside and said to them, “No, my friends, don’t be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don’t do this outrageous thing. Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But as for this man, don’t do such an outrageous thing.”

But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight.

When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold. He said to her, “Get up; let’s go.” But there was no answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home.

1 Timothy 1:3-11
As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

So you see, the Bible as shown from other verses that Christians have posted including the ones I have posted, is against homosexuality and that God even declares it detestable in his sight. As a Christian I do not hate homosexuals and believe based on Rosaria Butterfield's ex-lesbian testimony that we should not use the equivalent of a repent or go to hell sign but should treat the homosexual or lesbian with gentleness, respect, and love them as a human being who is lost without Jesus Christ. If God said what you were saying then it would be said in both the Old and New Testaments, but it does not say that anywhere in the Bible. So who is your authority? God or man? It cannot be both. As it says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows..

Heb1:9
same as Psalm 45:7

Anyone can be pro anything but if you want Gods approval for what you approve of.. I would say love what He loves and hate what He hates.. Love them but not what they do.. Really to approve is to side with the one who is deceiving them into thinking they will be ok.. and then to some you have put yourself in a pickle and are left to defend your beliefs.. How can you follow Christ yet support... To each his own.. I don't judge im just answering the question

If you have never had sex, does that mean you are not a heterosexual? That is rather silly. Your interests define your sexuality, you may lust after women or had crushes on women thereby confirming your heterosexuality. In the same way homosexual men have had feeling towards their same-sex. For you to dismiss their homosexuality because they haven't acted upon their urges or interests is poor logic. If what you say is true then all virgins are asexual, but we know that isn't the case, they simply haven't acted upon their sexuality. In the same way a homosexual man or a heterosexual man may resist their desires/urges and still be that sexuality.

Also why are you making it harder for homosexuals to get to Heaven than for you? Have you repented of all the sin in your life? Are you sinless? VVhy are you complicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ by making it a work instead of by grace through faith?

Yes, homosexuals can be set free by the grace of God, as can all sinners from that which binds them. The problem is that you are insisting they be set free (stop committing that sin) in order to be saved, and that is Lordship Salvation. Putting sanctification above justification by grace. One doesn't clean themselves up in order to get saved, they come in dirty and get washed in the blood of Christ that makes our sins as white as snow. Then God works on us, sanctifying us, to set us free from bondage and strongholds.

I am not saying they ought to continue in that sin, by no means. They have been set free of sin's dominion under grace, but for you to tell people that they must stop committing any particular sin or they are doomed to Hell, then you have forgotten that which Jesus accomplished at the cross by His flesh and blood. Instead of condemning people, point them to the savior who sets them free from sin's dominion. Point them to the victory found in Christ. Tell them about being born-again, made a new creation. Inform them of what it means to partake in Jesus' death and resurrection (symbolized in baptism). In this way you exhort these people, and not condemn those that Jesus desires to save.
If you have never had sex that make you a virgin. FYI Heterosexual , Homosexual , and bisexual are words not used in the bible they are not Biblical words they are medical terms used to identify a sexual act from a medical terminology . Sex is defined biblically in Gen 2:24 and the boundaries are well defined in the Law and In Matt by Jesus Himself.

I am sorry for opening up this thread again, but to those 9 people who say a mature Christian can support homosexual ''marriage'' you are not a Christian. Jesus says that marriage is between one man and one woman in Matthew 19:4-6 and Mark 10:6-9. In the Old Testament, Genesis 2:20b-24 and there are probably others as well. To those who claim the opposite, please read your Bible and follow what it says about this not what the world, society, your heart (which is deceitful and desperately wicked), culture, the mainstream media, etc want you to believe. The Bible should be the sole authority and not the world that goes from one thing to the other. Trust Christ the Solid Rock, for all other ground is sinking sand. God bless. :)
