Born sinners, inherited from Adam and Eve.

But kids are held blameless until the age of accountability.

We are all born with a sin nature, but until we actually sin, we are not technically sinners, as we have not acted in disobedience to God. I am speaking of wee little children, babies.....and as Ariel said, there comes an age of accountability.

Jesus spoke often of the little children. You can do a search of Scriptures to see this.

So, how about your opinion?

Agreed with first paragraph. Completely and utterly disagree with the second.
1. Find that concept in the Bible.
2. If that is true, and a child dies does that mean their are two ways to heaven -- through Christ or through youth?

When I was young, one of my cousins was a baby in her high chair with a plastic bottle. She accidentally threw her bottle and I went running to get it for her. She giggled, getting the biggest kick out of someone doing that for her, so she threw it again and again. That young, and she already had "I am the center of the universe" down pat. Babies and children are no more innocent than the rest of us. And there is only one way to salvation for any of us -- Christ Jesus. "Age of Accountability" doesn't save either. That's just some feel-good fluff that joined in true doctrine somewhere along the line. (I suspect it came from the Catholic Church, but I'm not sure. I know it was taught in the RCC when I was growing up, because that moment with my cousin taught me that simply wasn't true.)

I think these scriptures speak about sin entered into the world from Adam's transgression.

Romans 5:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned

Romans 5:18-20 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.

[SUP]20 [/SUP] The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,

The thing that babies and children have over us is the willingness to accept easier. They aren't looking with a critical eye into "what's wrong with this picture" like we do. Because of that, they flocked to Jesus because they didn't start with the "look at him. Who does he think he is? He thinks he's better than I am" attitude we all have. It has nothing to do with innocents of sin. It's the innocents of someone who hasn't been conditioned to assume ulterior motives/be suspect of all others. They're just more trusting.

Sorry sis,we disagree with this one. A babe cannot ask Christ into their hearts. A toddler has no understanding of unmerited favor. Therefore they are not held accountable. A child that dies goes back to the Father that created them. And no,its not a Catholic teaching, Catholics used the death of children to make money for the church saying they were burning in hell. Simply not true. Still love ya though. :)

According to Paul,

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Tim 2:14

Romans 5:12 (NASB)

So sin entered the world through the son of God who was born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God?

My views we inherit sin but are not born sinners. Adam and Eve were created sinless. The age of accountability for them was when they disobeyed God hence sin (to sin one must commit the act of sin). The fruit Adam and Eve ate was from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. After eating the fruit they knew they had disobeyed God.
A new born child is created sinless but will one day sin, it’s their inheritance. The day the child knows they’ve done wrong, they have spiritually died as with Adam and Eve.
This why Jesus stated John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (it’s a spiritual birth)

It's more than just being born a sinner. We are triune beings, flesh, soul and spirit. We are born with a dead spirit we inherit from adam. When we are saved God quickens or makes alive our spirit and "merges" it with the spirit of Jesus. Since zero sin is allowed in Heaven it's the only way we can ever attain it.

So then Jesus was a sinner?
Nope, the dead spirit we inherit comes from adam, as Jesus had no human father He never inherited this dead spirit. In fact His sinless alive spirit was required as a sacrifice to save us all. Thank you Jesus.

Psalm 58:3
The wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth.

If we are not born sinners then what does the above verse mean?

(to sin one must commit the act of sin).

Actually, if not mistaken sin is considered transgression of the law of truth.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9

So does a good tree bear evil fruit?

Same God that puts his spirit in you put his spirit in Adam.

The issue was not the fruit the issue was they disobeyed God

. found this article. Babies are saved by God's grace, just like anyone else. Who is to say God does not tell them about Jesus when they come before Him in heaven? As most with children know, they tend to easily accept anything told them as truth.

some evidence is stronger than others, but cumulatively they marshall strong support for infant salvation. We will note six of them.

First, the grace, goodness and mercy of God would support the position that God saves all infants who die. This is the strongest argument and perhaps the decisive one. God is love (1 John 4:8) and desires that all be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). God is love and His concern for children is evident in Matthew 18:14 where Jesus says, “Your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” People go to hell because they choose in willful rebellion and unbelief to reject God and His grace. Children are incapable of this kind of conscious rejection of God. Where such rebellion and willful disobedience is absent, God is gracious to receive.

Second, when the baby boy who was born to David and Bathsheba died (2 Samuel 12:15-18), David did two significant things: 1) He confessed his confidence that he would see the child again and, 2) he comforted his wife Bathsheba (vs. 23-24). David could have done those two things only if he was confident that his little son was with God. Any other explanation does not do justice to the text.

Third, in James 4:17, the Bible says, “Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” The Bible is clear that we are all born with a sin nature as a result of being in Adam (Roman 5:12). This is what is called the doctrine of original sin. However, the Scriptures make a distinction between original sin and actual sins. While all are guilty of original sin, moral responsibility and understanding is necessary for our being accountable for actual sins (Deuteronomy 1:30; Isaiah 7:16). It is to the one who knows to do right and does not do it that sin is reckoned. Infants are incapable of such decisions.

Fourth, Jesus affirmed that the kingdom of God belonged to little children (Luke 18:15-17). In the passage he is stating that saving faith is a childlike faith, but He also seems to be affirming the reality of children populating heaven.

Fifth, Scripture affirms that the number of saved souls is very great (Revelation 7:9). Since most of the world has been and is still non-Christian, might it be the untold multitude who have died prematurely or in infancy comprise a majority of those in heaven? Such a possibility ought not to be dismissed too quickly. In this context Charles Spurgeon said, “I rejoice to know that the souls of all infants, as soon as they die, speed their way to paradise. Think what a multitude there is of them.”

Sixth, some in Scripture are said to be chosen or sanctified from the womb (1 Samuel 1:8-2:21; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:15). This certainly affirms the salvation of some infants and repudiates the view that only baptized babies are assured of heaven. Neither Samuel, Jeremiah or John the Baptist was baptized.

After surveying these arguments, it is important for us to remember that anyone who is saved is saved because of the grace of God, the saving work of Jesus Christ and the undeserved and unmerited regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. Like all who have ever lived, except for Jesus, infants need to be saved. Only Jesus can take away their sin, and if they are saved it is because of His sovereign grace and abounding mercy. Abraham said, “Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25).
