Let me guess, your teacher didn't tell you about the Angel of the LORD. But then again that would be a stupid question to ask wouldn't it?

So can you tell which one came from the Quran, and which ones didn't?

For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no rasor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb:

For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat ny unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

The Quran has it's written accounts too, just as the OT has it accounts, even as the NT contains the writings such as Luke 16:29-31:

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Of course this one should be obvious:
And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

My brother I am a Christian, my Bible states Jesus is the only way truth and life, Allah is not mention in my bible. The Mormon state, in the afterlife, you will become a god, with your own plant with your many wives. The Jehovah's Witness state there is no hell.
By implying the Quran has similar verses, you are stating Allah is the same god as the Christian God. If you wish to believe the scriptures from the Quran, well hallelujah. But I'll stay with Jesus for HE is the WORD.

Isaiah 53v6: "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way..."

Ezek 18v20: "The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself."

Humans GO astray (as an act of free will), they are NOT born astray or born in sin!

(And so Rom 3v21: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.")

ALL mankind have followed the example of Adam, except the Lord Jesus. Heb 4v15

Any other view is a complete denial and twisting of the Scriptures on this subject!

Um? Honestly? Since the Bible isn't all about angels, most of us don't bother studying them. Even if we do, there is only so much that is revealed, and it's not enough to make a doctrine out of. As for the Quran? Mein Kampf makes more sense to me to read than the Quran, and yet still not enough sense to waste my time reading.

Also, angels really have nothing to do with the topic.

This is a Bible Discussion Forum, not a Conspiracy Theory Forum.

Agree with this. All are born sinners (including babies) but God would not send a baby to hell.

I *personally* believe that the bar/bat mitzvah represents the age of accountability in God's eyes, which if this is true would be 13yrs for a boy and 12 yrs for a girl, the ages when they are recognized as being adults.
Nice theory. Do you have any biblical evidence to support it?

My two cents.

One key that I think is over looked somewhat is the corruption thing. This is because it hard to walk by the faith of another in respect to one not seen (God).Seeing as fallen corruptible creatures we do walk by sight. This is after the three avenues of Satan the father of lies.

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

This is even knowing flesh and blood as rudiments of this world will not be part of the new order as Christ our husband’s bride made up of Jew and Gentile, male and female.... and like the angels no way to procreate.

1Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit the incorruptible.

We are born into a corrupted body (spiritual separate from God) which God corrupted when man sinned. It is the kind of body those ages in a decaying process leading to death and complete destruction as lifeless, spiritless rudiments that return to the dust and h20 they were taken from when the spirit departs.

Although it was the pouring out of his Spirit (the promise) as that not seen in respect to the lamb of God slain from the foundation (the first six days) The promised demonstration needed “sinful corrupted flesh” in oreder to condemn sin in the flesh .

It's pouring out His spirit "as if" it was literal corrupted blood.

God could not perform that work through a theophany or a vision ( Melchizedek) seeing it has no substance (DNA) to condemn .

Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will “pour out my spirit” unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will “pour out my spiritupon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Joel 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days “will I pour out my spirit”.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, “I will pour out of my Spiritupon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens “I will pour out in those days of my Spirit”; and they shall prophesy:

From looking at the verse I offered above we can see there is no idea of pouring out flesh and blood (the corruptible on the corruptible)

Again corruption does not inherit incorruption. A completely new creation must be formed with in by the Spirit of Christ, not seen

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of” sinful flesh”, and for sin, “condemned sin in the flesh”

The demonstration of the pouring out of His spirit life in jeopardy of His own l spirit life is over. It will not be repeated again as if once was not enough and he must be crucified over and over to public shame as if one demonstration was not enough..

Better things accompany salvation called redemption.

2Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

The commandment found in 1 John is that we “try the spirits” to see if they are of God or of men . Like that of the noble Barean’s who heard Paul speak and were moved by the spirit of prophecy, the Spirit of Christ, the anointing Holy Spirit of God to see if it was so.

Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Today, when we look at the Spirit of prophecy we immediately know he is no longer bringing any new revelations .as of the last revelation was given to John on the island of Patmos. Because he has sealed up the possibility of any other new prophecies(revelations) till the end of time. We immediately know Mohamed is a false prophecy brining false prophecy to be used by the father of lies, who has been a murder from the beginning .He is still murdering using false prophets, as antichrists (plural)

In that way it would be impossible to deceive the elect (Christian) they abide in the warning no to add or subtract from the book of the law the bible now that we have the complete or perfect law of God with no laws missing by which we could know him more intimately.

And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce,” if it were possible”, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. Mar 13:21

We are born with the potential of being righteous, but without communion we will
become sinners.

Our big weakness is getting hurt and being defensive. Once we shut out vulnerability,
close down love, sin and hurt is so easy to inflict on others.

They say a baby learns to lie and fake things before they can speak.
And the trouble with hurt, is we use it to justify the most extreme retaliations, which
have nothing to do with the action against us, but 100% about how hurt we are.

This is why the cross was the only way out. There is no hurt we could ever have that
is greater than God becoming man and being crucified while saying nothing in His defence
before they killed Him. Out self pity is swallowed up by this love, if we have eyes to see
it and let the fathers love in.

John 3:6-7 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

Romans 7:18
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

Galatians 5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."

Our first man is born with a sin nature because he is firstborn of the flesh and under the law of sin and death.

How does a person become righteous?...what determines the "potential"?

This is a mystery. You must be born from on high, because we are born into the separation
from Christ. God defines all people in relationship with Him as being righteous.

So in a sense without the relationship without sinning you are still a sinner, it is just a
question of time. It is like giving a child the keys to a car. They will crash it, it is not a
maybe it is just when.

Allah is not mention in my bible. By implying the Quran has similar verses, you are stating Allah is the same god as the Christian God. If you wish to believe the scriptures from the Quran, well hallelujah.

Really? so God is not mentioned, interesting. Allah is the Arabic word referring to God in Abrahamic religions. Merely having an understanding of the Quran doesn't mean anyone is affiliated with that faith. In fact, I have never read the Quran since I was told not to, which might sound strange as an American having the liberty to read whatever I choose, yet it is grace of his gift that is the substance of my hope which allows me listen to those who do and follow the 'word' contained therein, just as I am allowed to listen to those of the other two tabernacles I previously cited in my other post.

I am not familiar with the doctrine of the Mormon Church, yet I would would bet if you check it out it would lead to the passage in Revelations 2:17. Whether that Mormon interpretation of that passage is the correct one or not is not for me to judge, however I can say it is not my opinion.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Rev 2:17

If you have the chance to witness to a JW, ask them "Do you want to spend the rest of eternity with your Lord in his kingdom which is not of the world?" Do you think they will answer the same as you would? Consider Ps 139:8.

The commandment found in 1 John is that we “try the spirits” to see if they are of God or of men .

IMO, it is an instruction not a commandment , if it is a commandment then you are under the law, if an instruction you would be at liberty of free will. Why anyone would choose to ignore that advise is beyond me. So would you believe a Christian or a non-Christian?

I hope your are that the "spirits" implies the 'words' and not the the man. "... the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

Like that of the noble Barean’s who heard Paul speak and were moved by the spirit of prophecy, the Spirit of Christ, the anointing Holy Spirit of God to see if it was so.

Didn't impress King Agrippa much.

So do you think that Islam is in error for claiming it is acceptable to God if they lie to infidels?

As a Christian there is no other doctrine but the doctrine of Jesus Christ:2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
The muslin faith is a false religion.
I don't need to see Jesus:John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. The Holy Spirit is my witness, Acts 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us.
I have been sealed; Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit, a super natural given by Jesus himself: Mark 1:7-8 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
I noticed you did not comment on the Jehovah witness, a clear indication you are a Jehovah's witness. Now I understand your twisted line of questionings and using the Quran to support your views. The Jehovah's witness is a cult. You need to be saved.

The Jehovah's witness is a cult. I have family members who follow this religion. I know their doctrine from the founder to the date they introduced the watch tower, replacing the Word of God.
As the the scripture stated;2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If you wish to believe other doctrines/religions that's your choice but please don't waste my time trying to convince me
