I never understood the outrage over the Sterling killing, honestly. The video seemed pretty clear.
Sterling wasn't complying with the officers. He appeared (to me) to be resisting while on the ground. He had a weapon which he is not allowed to have as he's a felon.
Did he deserved to get shot a million times? Maybe not, but I sympathize with the officers as they were trying to disable the man prior to resorting to offensive lethal force.
However, the Castile shooting has me choked up. I have no idea what to believe anymore. I wish they release audio... and if it turns out the officer was justified, Black Lives Matters needs to own this publicly. If it turns out the officer was unjustified, the authorities need to own this publicly as well. We need reunification and that can only come from accountability and transparency.
