on-topic: I really don't know what to say about this. I can't make an opinion if I don't know what has been said on facebook. Maybe it was, like you said, death threathning or maybe it was just persons giving their opinions (opposite to Merkel's opinion) on the recent occupation of Germany by the muslim immigrants.

It's sad we are living on a loan from the past. I fear it can only last for so long.

Nope. Not me. I'm a christian. I don't have the duty to support evil-doing, racism and discrimination against people (be them christians, jews, muslims, chosen people of God or not). If you actually read the gospels you would see that Christ himself doesn't support that.

Perhaps.

But if the Lord terries, I think we can experience good days again. Not perfect, but good. We just have to act more like Dallas and less like Baltimore.

We are the chosen people of God and we have the duty to stay on the side of those, who are right. Jew or Greek, does not matter.

Let us support Israel because this is the only one normal country there. Democratic, secular, under attack. Not because we have some virtual duty.
