I have read the Bible. And grow up in Catholic school. I have to say my experience and thoughts on the stories give me horrible dark feeling. I don't want to go there.
Are you a Christian?
We sometimes get people on here who are disruptive, and adverse to Christians. They come on here for that sole reason. They can be atheist's, wicken, disgruntled former Christians. and other reasons. Sometimes they come on and pretend they are Christians and then argue from a completely different perspective. It becomes quite apparent fairly quickly.
So I am not suggesting you are anything I described above, just that if you are, so we can have a sincere and honest and meaningful exchange, please just let us know.

When is the last time you prayed for President Obama?
You know you are correct. We are to walk in love. If people disobey God they are already under His wrath we do not need to wish anyone anymore harm or insult them.

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

~ James 2:10

It is time for all these professing Christians on this forum to practice what they preach and to pray for the good of President Obama.

You are correct ,we must also realize that Christianty is a little more complex to assume everyone on this site is actually a professing Christian.

I do not believe I have read a post from anyone who denied being a Christian or who professed another faith. But yes, one demonstrates that they are Christian by good conduct, not by merely proclaiming themselves so.

If you ever read any of my other posts you'll see I might sound harsh but I write everything in love. That being said I must have been on some threads before that you never have been on before.

Let me clarify that I have not seen anyone here who posts say they are not Christian. Perhaps some did before I came unto the forum and I have not seen those posts.

President Obama's eventual replacement doesn't seem like something to look forward to, however this pans out.

I have seen the worst and judgmental action from the people who are Christian
Sadly, that's true. And it gets on my nerves.
I am not going to answer the "is it OK to be a good kind person and not believe"
Because who knows how many arguments that will start.
Now, may I ask, if you have had such bad experiences why are you here on a Christian chat?
Don't take the question the wrong way, I am genuinely curious :)

secular politics is full of irony.

the narrative of accusations & criticism the right wing mouthpieces ran with against the president is that he was inexperienced, doesn't care about anyone but himself & doesn't respect authority; that he is vain, that his campaign slogan was a meaningless platitude, that other countries would not have respect for him, and that he would be too sympathetic to Russia.

so now the same party is pushing a guy with zero experience, who doesn't show respect for anyone but himself, who has promised to usurp state and local government authority on several counts, who is unabashedly incredibly vain, with a campaign slogan 'make America great again' that is completely meaningless, and who without even being elected has already disrespected most of the world and even been banned from setting foot on the soil of one of our most important allies, and has already so much as told Putin that he would let him invade whatever Baltic states he feels like invading, without batting an eye.

secular politics is full of irony.

if he wins and not much gets accomplished, they will for sure blame Obama for 'the mess he left' and blame congress for being uncooperative, and if he circumvents the courts and the legislature with executive orders, they'll call him shrewd, lol.

folks, our citizenship is not of this world, but of a Kingdom which is not of this world.
don't lose sight of that.

I fail to see the irony when you consider a guy who never had a job or ran a business to a guy who has.

there's some truth to that, i agree - i guess going bankrupt 5 times is pretty good experience for running the USA after all heh

which is kinda his plan, right? declare bankruptcy?
lol more irony.
the right wing literally gridlocked the government until our credit rating got lowered
((then blamed the president for it))
and now they want you to vote for someone whose economic plan is to actually default on our creditors.

This from "Rudimental" in post #13: (What makes you think you'll escape Gods judgement any more than Obama will Rog?

Who are you to say who will and who wont face Gods judgement?)

We will all face judgement; some for bad deeds and some for good deeds. I don't think anyone will face judgement for both.

... but who has declared bankruptcy repeatedly and has been bailed out by taxpayers
